lol I took mine in to get his nails clipped because he is a demon to me when I do it at home. I have scars all over to prove it. They brought him back out like 5 minutes later and said he was a complete angel and they barely had to restrain him. Yea right!!! Hahaha they also said he’s just a silly little guy. Right now he is in lots of trouble for stepping on my very sore stomach. He may have accidentally gotten thrown into the wall (not super hard or anything!!!! I swear!!!) Don’t step on the mama tummy!!! (I am 1 day post op from a gallbladder removal surgery. It hurt. I cried when he stepped on my stomach and pushed him off me. He hit the wall and then glared at me and trotted off)
I’m gonna get downvoted to oblivion for this one, but, I personally wouldn’t expect your cat to know that your tummy was recovering, nor would I expect him to understand why you pushed him off. I think all he understood from that is that you hurt him for no reason.
I feel it’s not fair to blame him, as he did not have any way of knowing. No offence, not trying to start an argument. Just sharing what I believe to be unfair as he has apparently misbehaved by wanting attention and not having any way of knowing about your stomach. :D
No I completely agree. He didn’t know. He was understandably put off by it. He also tried to bite me at the same time, but that was more of a fear response than him being his usual asshole self. He got loves a bit later, just by being held by the husband instead of trying to sit on my stomach. He wants to sniff and check it all out but I can’t let him right now. I can hardly move myself and still have a pretty decent amount of pain since this surgery happened yesterday. I know he is just being curious and trying to figure out what’s happening. He’s been up my butt for three months and we couldn’t figure out why!!! Well, now we know. He was trying to tell me that I was sick. I do feel bad about throwing him off the bed. I made sure he got some treats, from me, after we had both settled down a little more. While he doesn’t understand, I still am nervous about him touching my belly again. So right now he is locked out of the bedroom while I recover enough to not be so sore. Once I am a little more healed up, he can come in and check things out. I do feel bad about it, but this little guy is very curious and really does try to help by laying on the hurt and purring. I wish I could let him because he is so sweet when he does it. I just can’t do the pressure right now.
