I canβt update the post so here it is. Shortly after I posted this the hospital called and said we should come get her and bring her to a different specialty clinic because they didnβt have the right blood for her transfusion. So we started driving back and they called again. They said Bubbles was really starting to decline and that the transfusion most likely wouldnβt do anything. So we made the decision to let her go so she wasnβt in pain anymore. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make but I think it was best. Rest in peace, Bubbles π
I also want to add that my husband and I were there with her
Iβm sorry for your loss, OP. You have my condolences. I am glad that you and your husband were with Bubbles. She got to see her family before she left, that is the best way to say goodbye, being surrounded by the ones you love.
Oh God I'm so sorry. I lost my black soup cat a couple years ago and it remains the worst day in my life.
Each day will get better eventually. Just keep reminding yourself that she is not suffering anymore and she'll never feel pain or sadness ever again. Tell her everyday you love her. It helps. β₯οΈ
i am so sorry. you and your husband obviously did everything for Bubbles and she knew how much you love her. both of you were able to provide comfort for her, even at the end. you're all very lucky to have had each other
