Question Trail running
I’m in town for work and hoping to find some cool trails to run in the surrounding area. If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

Lets spread some positivity around /r/Boise! What are you doing this weekend?
Do you have exciting weekend plans and want to share? New favorite restaurant, trying something new, just playing with your dog in a dog park?
Feel free to share what you are looking forward to, fantastic time you had last weekend and photos of your pets!

“Approximately two miles in length, it connects Corrals Trail to Bob’s Trail and the 8th Street Connection. The project is similar to other purpose-built mountain biking trails that have been successfully implemented in other cities”

Hi! I just left Costco… on my way out I saw a big magnolia tree (the kind with big leaves and white flowers). I checked to see the process but it didn’t have a price. The checker said they had a bunch outside but I was already checking out and exhausted. Does anyone happen to know how much they are? This was at the Boise Costco. I may try to call but I hate bugging them for a price and they are busy right now.
Thanks!
Hello,
I had an expiring flight credit and I wanted to go somewhere I've never been. So, Boise it was. I'll be in town Friday through Sunday. I'd really appreciate some tips on places that shouldn't be missed. A bit about me to help:
-Not really a drinker but not opposed to bars/clubs.
-Music lover and partial to punk and new wave.
-Chicano, always down for Norteño music and good Mexican food.
-Dude married to another dude, any gay bars/sites?
-Staying downtown
Thanks for any help. Oh, and is there a reconciling, Methodist congregation in town? ✌🏾

Hey everyone. Was looking into doing some camping out in the Owyhee’s in a couple weeks. Was hoping to do some scouting this weekend. I have only camped off Triangle rd kind of near Silver City about 90 minutes from Boise. Running into an issue that roads are closed out there despite things being pretty dry. Really am wanting to get out and get a bit of solitude. Not asking for any honeypots, but curious if someone could give me any ideas for some great Owyhee camping this time of year that isn’t incredibly far from the Boise area? I got a 4x4 with decent ground clearance, but also am not looking to tear up a bunch of terrain. Pic is where I normally go. Thanks!

Idaho Freedom Foundation Chairman Brent Regan may be more like Jim Jones than he lets on, just not the one he's ranting about.

This is a criticism I see often, and one I used to have as well. Mass protests serve several functions. First and foremost, it is to put officials on notice. The bigger the protest, the bigger the notice. The officials can choose to act or ignore. If ignored, then we must move on to the next steps. The next steps part is something previous movements failed at, but 50501 has a real chance of achieving.
The other functions of the protest are to bring like minded people together. Bigger protests attract more attention, which then helps the subsequent protests also grow. This is important, because at these protests, people then can be put in touch with organizations that help move change along to the next steps.
Excitement around the movement that brings these people together, also brings together resources they possess, whether its money, technical skills, organizing skills, etc. The protests act as a central mass attracting attention and talent to it. These people then can be put in touch with the right people to direct these resources for the next step.
What are the next steps? I like to follow the Four Boxes of Liberty-
Box #1 - soapbox. You are here.
Box #2 - ballot box. This is next and we are seeing results in special elections already. It is important to translate this energy into the midterms and get congresscritters scared.
Box #3 - the jury box. Educate the populace on the power of jury null1f3c4t10n to exert the power of the people over the legislative branch. We all know which case in particular we want to see this happen.
Box #4 - ???
This movement in particular is very bipartisan, and really shows the top vs bottom reality, as we are all being affected by these policies. If all you can do is attend and be seen, then you are helping by making the movement more visible, which then attracts the resources needed to the hard work that comes next.

I’m looking for a place that has hot tubs and sauna / steam rooms? When you google that you get weird results. Clothing optional is a plus but I don’t think it’s in Boise. Let me know if there’s another sub to ask. Thanks!

If anyone has extra flags, my dog would like to show his patriotism. Saw this at Morris Hill Park today.

I have seen conflicting times and locations, can someone please let me know or point me in the right direction for the time and place? I really want to go but need to plan ahead.
Edit: Thank you, everyone! All his info was very helpful. I also found this resource on the Idaho 50501 subreddit, which is going to help me plan ahead. https://www.reddit.com/r/idaho50501/comments/1jpd6mc/idaho_calendar/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Currently I'm an electrical engineering student at BSU and my ultimate goal is to work at Idaho Power. I was wondering if anyone had advice that might help me better my chances at getting employed at Idaho Power after graduation?

I’m visiting Boise, and I was wondering if any events or gatherings were happening for Arab American Heritage Month this weekend. I also was wondering if there is a nice outdoor activity to do while I’m out here.
Thanks!

Sorry not Boise specifically.
I know I'm looking for a unicorn, but where is the most affordable place to stay in Ketchum for a few nights? Normally I would tent camp but going to a wedding and need a place with a shower and mirror. Lol.
Are Air bnbs generaly cheaper? Recs on the cheapest hotel? Other ideas? Thanks! Must be near Ketchum not Hailey. PM me if you don't want to give away a secret spot! Super extra bonus points if allows dogs.
