Omg that's a good one. We have a couple boy cats and then only one little lady. The lady has an exceptionally large bootyhole area. Too big for her body kind of thing. Like... I noticed and talked to other family members about it, and they all noticed too but we all felt weird about noticing, you know what I mean? 

Anyway, now she is immediately designated as our "eye of sauron cat".

Sigh…I know. It’s like a little kitty present💜, but it’s still gross. I love that he loves me and trusts me, but he’s a big ol’ Schmoop at 22 lbs and the big ol’ Schmoopy butt is a lot to take in at 5:47 am!!!!! 😹

One of my cats is bad about bedroom etiquette so she tends to get locked away at night. I woke up one night to her planting her anus on my eye. She was doing that thing where they lift their back feet up and down before the settle in. While I was trying to figure out what was happening and as I awoke she finally squatted down and did that little butt shake when they're finally comfortable. Like ducks do, but on my eye. Smearing her sphincter across my eye.

My Callie Cat has an orange marking by her butthole which I used to frequently mistake for a poop smear stuck to her butt until I realized it was just an orange marking

This pic shows it well! (If she looks a bit thin in this photo, I’d like to point out that we were NOT neglecting her. She’s a rescue and she was really underweight when we found her, this is an older picture taken shortly after adopting her. She was only 6-7 pounds! She’s now 9 pounds and we realized the was a very floofy long haired cat, I didn’t realize how fluffy she’d be when we first got her!)

If you want to really compliment a cat, fake out happily sniffing their butt when they offer it to you. They smell each other’s butts when reuniting in cat colonies. It’s a way to check where each other have been and acknowledge their belonging.

My cat loves when I do a big purr noise of approval after smelling her fur.

My girl tried that once, but her tail hit my face while I was sleeping and I freaked out. She didn't appreciate that.
