The difference is that Elon is an insanely powerful billionaire with huge amounts of input on the future of the United States of America, and him lying about something so simple speaks poorly of his priorities, judgement, and need to be seen as "cool" as he tears major US institutions to the ground with little oversight.
Whereas someone buying gold maybe makes your flask a bit pricer.
no but it's the same thing, people who will buy gold is why people will sell it. skipping the grind to get your flasks. Like I get it, by why are you paying money to skip the part where you actually play the game so that you don;t have to play? Shits crazy
...okay... but the issue with Elon isn't a GAMING issue, it's a massive political and cultural issue. It's not about PoE... it's about Elon. So, sure, you can say that a part of the thing is the same thing... but at that point you're just jumping through hoops to make a braindead point. Which, of course, is what you were trying to do anyway, so I'll see myself out!
Its almost like so much of classic was rose tinted glasses and there are serious flaws in the game that a lot of people want to skip. Kind of like "you think you do but you dont" or something.
How would you define circumventing the ToS to a video game to obtain currency you didn't earn in game yourself that you use to provide massive in game advantages with?
bro you're so mad people are having fun playing a game you hate. also no one actually cares about flasks, world buffs are enough. You usually get a third SR if you're flasked ecksdee
Why are you calling people Andrew’s for playing a game inside of the subreddit for that game? It’s crazy, you clearly hate classic and its player base yet here you are spending your time in discussion boards about it
And the 2nd it launched people saw it for what it was and starting asking for changes. Then the population fell off a cliff in vanilla and people pretended HC revived it.
Did you approve of Dual Spec when they added it to Anniversary? If no, then you're the definition of a Classic Andy. If yes, then you acknowledge that a some changes were good for the game.
Wtf does that have to do with this guy saying the game shouldn't have happened at all? Yes I like dual spec and some changes are good for the game, personally I'm looking forward to proper Classic+. But if we all just shut up when Brack said "You think you do but you don't" we wouldn't have gotten any Classic.

Which he's completely right about. There are a lot of fundamentally frustrating parts of Classic that people forgot about, or worse, elected to ignore. Those flaws are a significant reason, if not the greatest, why the game economy is in this state.
