Unironically, play retail. I've tried classic a few times, the 2019 launch, SoD, and again with the anniversary realms. I always get burnt out around the 30s, so I go back to retail where leveling is a breeze and grinding gold isn't really a necessity for anything.
People play to do raids with their friends. Paying to not do solo farming on the side is not the same as not playing. Not that difficult to understand unless you are the typical wow addict that plays every day for 5+ hours.
It’s the end game culture that’s influencing the gold market, people can’t stand to do a fucking raid without full buffs/consumes even when the content is trivial especially after a few reps.
Some redditors just love strawman so much they'd fuck a scarecrow given the chance.
I enjoy leveling, dungeons, raids and pvp. But if I had to use some of my free time to do mindless grinding i'd have bought gold too. Fortunately I have the opportunity to play from work and ended up cornering silithus black lotus for 8 hours a day on my server and hooked up my guildies with flasks.
They should. Not sure why I'm getting shit on for an extremely popular opinion. There's a reason people will pay to skip levels, pay for gold, pay to boost, pay to avoid doing anything that isn't raiding or PVP.
That would be a fucking boring game. What can I do in-game if was just that? I like being alone in BGs doing my own thing and like being in the open world doing my own thing for progression and flexing the gear, I got from raids and dungeons at passersby.
I cannot commit to raids and dungeons all the time if I need to afk randomly for a whatever reason, you need a different game that is just an online dungeon crawler, or play a MOBA, cuz it sounds like that genre suits you better.
MMORPGs are always a grind and using real money to progress faster is cheating the game and you will have unfair advantage to legit players. If farming is boring, play a fucking different game.

What is the point of playing if you think the game isn’t fun lmao
