Also part of Brain's motivation was "I can probably rule the place better" and his metrics for "better" were rather good compared to your average politician.

It’s like how Dr Doom is a villain who wants to control the world but every time he gets in charge, he basically creates a utopia. Like yeah, he took the world by force and is basically king, but the public healthcare, education, and infrastructure has gotten REALLY good
