Found his perfect toy in the cat aisle!

I’ll take Bo over to my parents a couple times a week so they can watch him while my partner and I are at work. A while back he was picking through their cat toys and decided this one was his favourite toy of all time 😂 we finally got one for our house too

Corgi spay advice

so like the title says i need corgi spay advice. my corgi gets spayed tomorrow morning and im worried about her wearing the cone of shame. we purchased the inflatable cone and our dog began resource guarding the inflatable cone. she has a history of resource guarding and has been through training for it. although this is a new item and a bit scary for her so she started resource guarding it while on her neck! i’m just seeking advice if anyone else has delt with this…. should we have our vet use a cone tomorrow and possibly have her resource guard and be aggressive when she isn’t loopy anymore or is there something else we can use?

Relocating Internationally with my floof

Hi everyone, I am relocating from LA to the UK with my corgi and I haven't seen anyone recently post about this specific issue but my corgi is 9 years old, 29lbs, and shes anxious. She just a little too long for the underseat carriers. if she wasn't so scared of it she could curl up and be fine but i've been trying to get her to go in for weeks and she just wont get used to it. With how anxious she is I dont feel comfortable putting her in cargo alone. I've found an airline that'll let me get her to at least new york with her in cabin w/o costing a fortune. But even though I cant afford the private charter flights, they're all booked anyways. So I guess im looking for recent experiences of people getting their floof across the ocean. Any airline suggestions? Relocation services suggestions? Any suggestions at all really...I'd definitely appreciate it. I am running out of time to leave the country as I was supposed to leave a month ago but many things got in the way. Also should note my dog has stomach issues and is on prescription food so introducing her to new foods might make things worse.

DAE have a corgi that despises cleaning/tidying of all kinds??

My Charlie boy can’t stand to see me do any type of cleaning whether inside or outside the house. Does anybody else have a corgi that also feels this kind of way?

Did I screw up?

I have a 3 year old neutered male pembroke welsh corgi who I’ve had since he was 8 weeks.

A bit of relevant back story here: when he was a little pup, we were at the park. I never took him to the dog park, but you have to walk by it to get to the parking lot. An older man (later found out he’s in his 90s) had a very riled up rottie and was on his way to the dog park. I paused to let him pass, but instead he said “sic ‘em” and dropped the leash. I immediately turned my back to the dog and pinned by puppy to the fence. The rottie was jumping at my back and I was screaming. My puppy slipped his harness (thank god) and ran into the woods. I was able to get him back and into the car. He was uninjured but scared.

At the time, we also had an elderly Boston terrier (she has since passed away). Toward the end of her life, she started having seizures. IDK why but my corgi started attacking her. We got a trainer and worked on it, but she passed away from kidney failure before my corgi ever actually stopped being aggressive. We still did training, but not as intense.

It’s been over a year and I noticed my corgi seems down. I thought maybe he wanted a friend, so we got an 8 week old puppy. I think I messed up.

My older pup has been on edge. He’s pinned the puppy twice (he hasn’t bitten, but he does mouth him). I started sending him to doggie day camp with his trainer to get some extra help. He says he’s very sensitive and shy and needs human reassurance.

This poor puppy doesn’t deserve to live like this. It’s only been a week, but I can’t help but think I screwed up. Should I take him back to the breeder? Is there any help for my older dog? When they are playing, he seems so happy, but he just randomly freaks out and attacks this tiny puppy. My older corgi is a bit over 50 pounds (he’s a big corgi, but he’s also about 10 pounds overweight - we are working on that) and the puppy is only 6 pounds. I don’t think I’m cut out for the crate and rotate life because my older corgi is incredibly human bonded and having to be gated away from us makes him so sad.

Does anyone have any words of advice? Should I just take the puppy back so he can have a normal life? I’ve sobbed over this all week. I feel like a failure and, quite frankly, a terrible person for what I did to this puppy.

My 5mo corgi has a packed routine, but a roommate says he needs 'freeing'...

Hi everyone,
I have a 5mo corgi which goes to dog daycare from 9am to 7pm. We take a stroll during the morning, then spend the night at the apartment. On weekends, we go to the park to run, walk and play and every two weeks we go to the pet care for him to bathe, have his nails trimmed, and we also play with other dogs.
Once in a blue moon, I am tired, and we spend time in the room, mainly at weekends, because I have to work sometimes, or I am not willing to spend time with others at the house, or want my privacy (I live with 3 other friends).
Right now, someone open the door in my room and asked for a controller and said that "someone told him to also come to free the dog". My other friend on the apartment just told me it makes no sense because we don't spend that much time on the room.
Am I overreacting for not liking this kind of interference? And more importantly — is the routine I’m giving my corgi enough?
