I don’t have enough karma to post in the Reggae sub so I hope it’s okay for me to ask here.
A friend shared this track that I cannot get out of my head!! I love the riddim and want to add it to our work playlist but I’m having a hard time finding/understanding the lyrics to make sure it’s clean. Besides the obvious of him telling her to whine and turn, can someone help me understand what’s going on with Mista Solomon and Nicky? lol
Thank you

I’ve been trying to find a dancehall song for years but can’t remember who sings it or the name. It goes like “girl let me take you out tonight, come and flex up in my ride, what kind of tattoo that’s above your navel girl it looks like a butterfly.” Someone help please!! 😭

Hello Dancehall friends - I'm Gustavo from Momotombo Soundsystem. I've been working on a release that draws from both Cumbia and Dancehall, with some Dub elements. It features the Spanish and Kriol vocals of Mr. Lion, a talented artist from Nicaragua's Caribbean Coast, and bass from Kevin Miller, founding member of US Ska band Monkey.
My goal with this release was to explore the connections between Latin American and Caribbean music. You can read a little bit about my journey on my website.
Even though it is not a traditional Dancehall release, Dancehall, Dub, and Reggae are big influences. I'd appreciate your support. It's available now on bandcamp!

I'm seeing lots of clips around new music for Valiant and then this clip from an interview about UGLY? I wonder what his album is going to sound like? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHwGCTcR5Xf/

Was listening to a Dancehall mix and this song came up, and I’ve been trying to find out the name of it. Asked some friends but no one could figure it out and after some failed google searches, I thought I’d ask Reddit. Thanks for any help. 🤲🏿

Hey fam 🌿
If anyone here enjoys a relaxing, intense and psychedelic session, I think they will feel the vibe of this sound:
HAZE REGGAE DUB
👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeApKM4lkss
Focusing on spiritual vibration, meditation and ganja connection. I used very atmospheric elements, with deep bass, It was inspired by nights under the stars, campfire, lit bong and that moment when the sound merges with the body. 🔊💨
If you listen, tell me what you think — I'm trying to improve the channel little by little with soul, without algorithm.
Blessings & high vibrations 🌍🔥
