Discussion Every Horror celebrity I have met
Every Horror celebrity I have met
Tony Todd: He was the first ever celebrity I met. Unfortunately I didn’t own a Candyman shirt, so I took my dad’s skeleton T shirt since Candyman’s bones are exposed. https://www.reddit.com/r/CreepyBonfire/s/7rVIsMeLDk When I went in for the costume photo op, I was a little awe struck to see him in person. When he saw my shirt, he pointed and said “look we match.” I couldn’t stop smiling like an idiot. This will forever be one of the most special moments of my life.
James Judd Cortney: As me and my dad were walking around the convention, we saw James sitting at his table completely alone. I felt bad that he didn’t have anyone, so we went and got a photo plus autograph from him for one $10. Kills had just come out last month so we talked about how amazing he was in it and my dad joked about the angry fire fighters on the internet. The next time we saw him at a convention his line was packed and his autograph was $60. I felt really happy that he got the attention he deserved
Doug Bradley: Me and my dad drove 7 hours to Philadelphia for this Monster mania. He was the first celebrity I had met since seeing Tony and JJC a year before, so I was really nervous. I didn’t really talk to him, and my photo was stiff. I don’t think he was stand offish though, I saw him taking selfies for free while he was walking around the convention later. His prices was noticeably the lowest of any celebrity there, over a 1/3 compared to the biggest. I respect him a lot for all this
Danielle Harris: I have met her twice, once for a in costume photo op and another for an autograph. Since there was no one else in line, I asked her if I could do a little interview about Dead by Daylight which you can see here. I was ridiculously nervous because this was the most I talked to a celebrity before, but she was super calm and nice. I managed to say everything without messing up at all partly because of her attitude. It’s still one of my favorite memories and it’s helped me do better with my social anxiety.
Lance Henrikson: By far my strangest meeting. For starters, while I was sitting in the line he pointed at me from among the crowd and said my shirt was awesome. I always feel touched and smile like an idiot when celebrities notice my shirts. It sorta feels like they are noticing me as a person than just another fan they are taking photos with. When I did get to his table, he spoke rather strangely. He had a sorta languidly attitude that felt really weird. I talked to him about Aliens and how I bought a copy of Near Dark to watch before meeting him. When we went to take the photo he asked if my dad wanted to join. I said “uh, he doesn’t really get in them.” (He isn’t really into horror, he goes to the events for me) And Lance said “oh, how cruel.” I could tell he was just joking around, but it felt strange. Later on there was an Alien and Aliens panel. They called out the cast in order to take their chairs. First the crew of the Nostromo, then the marines, then Newt, then finally Bishop. But instead of taking his seat, he kept walking and sat next to Tom Skerrit instead. Carrie Henn said “oh Lance” like a sitcom and the panel continued. Throughout the panel it was hard to tell if the responses he gave were jokes or serious. Some comments on the panel video I uploaded said Lance was drunk. I don’t think he was drunk based on Carrie’s reaction. Either he is just essentric, or he has that old person thing where they lose inhibition. Overall it was a positive experience and he wasn’t rude, just unlike any interaction I have ever had before
Carrie Henn: This is the one I was probably looking forward to the most. The first thing that happened was that the yellow marker she used didn’t work on the wax poster I brought for the cast to sign. The ink was still wet essentially. She asked if I wanted a new one then she went across the room to have Lance resign a new picture. After we took a picture together, I showed off my phone case: https://www.reddit.com/r/LV426/s/TzADdFkpRx I explained how Aliens was my favorite movie and the biggest reason was her and Ripley’s bond. She seemed really flattered about it. She was really nice and it was worth every second of driving and waiting in line. I also mentioned offhand once how I wanted Weaver to sign the poster one day, and she essentially said “yeah… good luck with that.” I really hope I can complete my poster one day
Kane Hodder: Nice dude. We talked a little bit about Friday the 13th. I asked him when Hatchet 5 is coming and he signed and said he doesn’t know yet. I was tempted to ask him to strangle me because I heard he’ll really do it for photos, but I didn’t want to try.
Amie Donald: I spent most of the time just complimenting her performance and how I really hope she gets to play M3gan again (this was before they announced she was coming back). She was so positive and adorable. I really wanted to give her a hug like she was my tiny cousin, but didn’t want to be weird
Amelia Mclain: When I met her, I told her how I didn’t like the first Terrifier movie because the plot was paper thin. Felt more like a special effects reel than a proper film. But the story really improved with 2, mainly because of her character. The Little Pale Girl made Art’s character more interesting, and her performance was a big part of it. She seemed really touched, I wouldn’t be surprised if I was one of the first people to say something like that to her. A lot of people seemed to went to meet her just so complete the set or so they can have her and Art together. I was really sad when Damien shafted her in 3
Quinn Lord: I went over to him thinking “don’t ask him about Trick r treat 2. He isn’t a kid anymore so it might be a sad topic if they replace him as Sam.” I got the autograph and asked him if there was any word on if part 2 was being made. He jokingly said “yeah, we are just in the pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-production stage.” I then walked away saying “stupid! Stupid! Stupid!” In my head. I am glad he is joking around about it though and doesn’t seem sad.
Heather Langenkamp: I waited in line for about 5 hours to meet her. Partly because her lunch break and the Nightmare panel lined up at the same time I went to get in line. But it was mainly because she spent so much time with each of her fans, just talking to each one of them. She really did seem to enjoy being there and seeings the fans. When I went up to her (with my childhood Freddy glove on), I spent few minutes gushing about she is the greatest final girl in Horror and how all 3 of her Nightmare roles was amazing. As I walked away, I heard her assistant say to her “I think that was the nicest Freddy we had all day.” I started to do a goofy smile thinking “I was the nicest Freddy today! 🤩” Then I got worried “oh no, did all the other Freddys call her a b!***?” Side note: throughout the 5 hour wait, there was a very large fat man behind me in line who smelled like hot cheese. He had several layers of fat that made him look like a hamburger, and he carried a chair around with him everywhere because he can’t stand for too long. I struggled to keep a straight face as I got closer to Heather, but I briefly forgot the smell entirely after I started to speak to her. Afterwards my dad says that smell is the “smell of rotting flesh.” He speculated that the guy doesn’t clean the folds of his fat well enough, causing dead skin, sweat and other junk to stew. I felt really bad for Heather and to remind people to take care
Robert Englund: As soon as I walked in, he immediately said my shirt was amazing. It was the cover of X-men #1 with Freddy and the Dream warriors replacing the characters, and he totally got the reference. We both had gloves on and he said “just strike a pose like a couple of cool guys.” After he told me I should go show Heather the shirt (she didn’t get it). He was so cool, like 80s TV show cool guy.
Eugene Clark: He was quite the talker, haha. He told me a lot about his personal life, and I said a lot of stuff from mine. I bought these figures from him: said he has had them since Land of the dead came out. https://www.reddit.com/r/zombies/s/Q0zNup2QUG He actually recognized me when I met him again at a convention 2 years later. Also fun fact, if you ask him to do the zombie scream he will yell so loudly you can hear him from across the convention. Made me jump the first time he did it.
William Ragsdale: Probably the encounter I remember the least about (not to insult or say he was boring or anything). I remember I told him about how much I liked Fright Night and he talked about his cameo in Renfield.
Stephen Geoffreys: He was a pretty friendly guy. I felt really dumb when he was talking about movies he was in and I said “oh you were in Evil-976? Oh wait, you are on the cover I am so dumb.” He laughed it off, but I hope I didn’t come off rude by accident.
Shawnee Smith: I waited in line for almost 2 and a half hours to meet her. Not because she was gone, but because she had long talks with every single fan that came to her table. When I first walked up she asked if we met before. I said “no, but maybe you saw me in your dreams” while making a dramatic pose. She laughed and we talked a bit about Saw. I mentioned how I watched her newest movie Bloodline killer and she asked what I thought. I said everything I liked about it and she said I was the first person to give her a review of it. She was really nice. She took some selfies with me, and I still cringe today with how unphotogentic i am.
Nick Castle: Pretty calm, relaxed dude. I show him photos of me walking around my town as Michael for Halloween and he thought it was cool.
Kyra Schon: So I was waiting around for her to return from lunch and decided to take a walk. While I did, I walked an older woman that stared at me strangely. I stare back confused, then I realized that the woman was Kyra. I make a dumb shocked face and keep walking. I face palm afterwards and thought. “oh crap i looked like a weirdo and made her uncomfortable. I hope she doesn’t remember the dope wearing her face on his shirt looking at her like an idiot.” When I finally met her at the table, she mentions seeing me earlier. “I think oh no here it comes.” But then she says that she was shocked because I looked like a former student of her’s. I won’t say much more for her privacy, but we talked for a long time about both personal stuff and Night of the living dead. I had a friend who was making fan art of Karen ask me what the dress color was, and I made me realize official products can’t decide between blue, red or white. According to the actress herself, it was orange! My friend tried to color it according: https://www.reddit.com/r/zombies/s/tTCiAEmHCH After we were done, she asked if I could take a picture with her. I felt so honored a celebrity asked for my photo.
Michael Biehn: I got him to sign the poster I got Henrickson and Henn on already. He said that of all the movies he’s been in, Aliens was probably his favorite to film. Him and all the other marines are in a group chat together and still talk. He spoke very highly of Weaver and gave me tips on ways to see her. “She’s really nice. I am sure if she saw this poster you brought with everyone else’s names she’d sign it for you.” He was a real cool dude
Allyson Court: she was in a Jubilee costume when I met her. https://www.reddit.com/r/residentevil/s/oZ5ToGFaLb When she saw my first aid prop she said “awe, you brought me a herb spray!” I talked a bit about how Claire is my favorite RE character and I thought her performance tied it all together.
Isabelle Furman: Just saw her yesterday. She was a really humble and down to Earth person. We talked for a bit about the Orphan movies and she told me a little bit about the part 3 that’s in development (it’s mostly a prequel). Overall she was really nice and of all the celebrities I met, she’s one of the ones that felt the most like an normal person.
Tobin Bell: Unfortunately I could only do a pro photo op with him because of the lines he had, meaning I only saw him for a few moments. He shook my hand and said hello. He put his arm on my shoulder and we took the photo. He was pretty friendly with everyone in line, and I was a little awe stuck seeing him face to face. All around a really respectable guy.

Discussion My Orphan 3 Elevator Pitch
Rather than another prequel, trying to get Isabelle Fuhrman to play yet a younger version of Esther…
Have it take place soon after the events of Orphan and have her be rescued from the ice by some guy who basically brings her back to life only to keep her captive because (as always) he thinks she’s a little girl.
Now she’s kinda pro/antagonist because she needs to use her wiles to get outta this Misery/10 Cloverfield Lane situation.

Just watched Death of a Unicorn today and everytime someone died I was like oh this will make for a great kill count/I wonder what commentary James will make about this death.
I even did my own Golden Chainsaw/Dull Machete if anyone was wondering:

GC: Dr Bhatia, I thought being literally RIPPED in half was BRUTAL

Discussion Cinderella's Castle (The New Starkid Show)
I didn't expect it to be horror. I knew it was going to be dark but not fully horror (especially the last 30 minutes) it sucks that the TGWDLM kill count didn't do all that well because I'd love a kill count of this show (as well as the rest of the Hatchetfield stuff). This show is so interesting but I'll have to suffer with it most likely never getting a kill count I guess.
