Image Ableism is everywhere, guys. She wouldn't let me use the bathroom
It took her like 20min to finally move. Even after I tried gently prodding her with my foot, she had the AUDACITY to just roll over and start purring lol

You think THAT'S bad? Look at my eldest. He not only falsely imprisons me by laying in the middle of the hallway so I can't bypass him on the regular, he blackmails me for tummy rubs I can't even reach to give, and is so stinking cute you can't even get mad about it lol

I trained my cat to come when I called her name, then taught her if she jumped up on my bed (where I could reach her); I would give her the affection/treats that she wanted.

What a mean kitty!
At least Zoey isn't like that... though she does jump if my crutch falls... but to be fair if they fall it startles me too...

Mine does the same thing, so I carry my grabber tool to harass him until he finally moves. π

u/HuckleberryFew8263 Mar 09 '25
LMAOO I love this

u/Dizzy_Hotwheelz Mar 09 '25
Wait that's not their name?

u/Mediocre_Side_6315 Mar 09 '25
I understand that it is not the cat's name, but is saying that the little one is a capacitist because she is covering the way (Presumably to purpose) Obviously as a joke haha. For example I have told my two cats that they are homophobic because they keep trying to climb my pride flag and tear it from the wall in the process.Β

Oh no, a traffic jam! Time to install a horn on your mobility sid for situations like this. Then next time you're blocked you can go "BEEP BEEP! Move out of my way, I'm coming through!"
Any self respecting kitty will respect the rules of the road or get beeped as a reminder to move aside.

I don't have a car right now, but I'm sure if I did, mine might trigger me via waking me up extra early for Daylights Savings Time!
Epilepsy and Daylights Savings Time suck together! But cats are adorable yet a**holes sometimes.

Exact justice! Pick her up. Give her a kiss.

The worst part is I can't reach down that far without the risk of subluxating my shoulders so shes just tantalizing me lmaoo π

Honestly, I'm worried abt cat-rearing with my power chair. Ran over my parents' tuxie's arm and it killed me. He's fine, but I'm really concerned about taking on a baby pie. How have you been handling it?

u/LovecraftInDC Mar 10 '25
I am not a chair user, but one suggestion would be to look for a slightly older cat. There may be one out there that is already chair-aware, but even if not, a larger cat is going to be more aware of their surroundings and you won't have to worry about seriously injuring them.

When I was temporarily in a wheelchair my cat always flopped right in front of me. So sweet!, but less so for a 4am bathroom run

Haha one of my girls likes to lay under my wheels or behind them while the other will sense or hear me moving, wake up, and dart through the house to go under me just to freak me out. I love these little demons lol

I needed this laugh. Thank you. I hope she was finally able to let you go! If not send up a flare so we know you are a hostage!

I have that same cat, same asshole. He sees me coming and sits right down in front of me. I don't know what his problem is honestly. I've had a couple of mice over the years. He does nothing about them. I feel like that's his one job. I don't understand. He does not contribute to the household in any way and the one thing I expect him to do and he just looks at me like, yes and?

My gf also has a problem with our cats not moving lol Does your cat also tend to be quite suicidal? Ours love running in one's way and sometimes barely escape getting run over.

you should make a big net on the wall like a hammock so you can pick her up and put her in time out
