I think my favorite element of the park is no matter how many times I go, I always find at least one new thing I've never noticed before. Sometimes it's as simple as looking the right direction at the right time.
I must have ridden Rise of the Resistance at least 50 times and I never realized there was a mirror or painting showing more AT-AT's in the background. It's so easy to be overwhelmed by the size of the key props and the speed you move that you fail to look in other places.

I saw a creator on TikTok complaining about how they miss pre-2020 Disneyland (not as crowded, true “off-seasons,” the apps). I was thinking about it and I wonder if the surge in popularity is part of the human desire to be in a walkable retail area with other people — and Covid decimated a lot of brick and mortar experiences in SoCal and elsewhere. The Third Street Promenade. The ArcLight/Amoeba complex and all the retail centered around that. Most malls. Is everyone paying bonkers prices because we really just miss the IDEA of Main Street USA (kind of like Walt, when he built it!) and people just want to get a treat and walk around and be in humanity???

One of my closest friend's dad was on the original team who built the Main Street Electrical Parade. When you enter the park, in the windows to the right of the Great Moments/Disney Gallery building canopy, there is a small commorative stained glass window celebrating the team. I send my friend a photo every time I go.

When you enter through the left tunnel just to your right there is a structure wit two white ball lights. This was a real police department with real police. There are some home movies showing this structure marked as such, but I can't find and pics of it.
If you step back and look at it, it is reminded of the old way police stations were built. The round balls would be marked POLICE, sometimes with the name of the city too, and the "Chiefs Perch" on the second floor. It was not used as the accrual police station, that was elsewhere though. <Shhh, its in that area. Don't tell anyone though>
Any google or Yahoo search is met with negative results.
There was at one time real police officers at Disneyland. Mostly moonlighting LAPD or LASD, but that was long ago around opening time.

Not taken today, but (as of 4/2/25) there’s a temporary clock face on small world. It looks kinda weird, but it’s a good sight as I’ve heard there were many cracks on the face for a long time. Just thought I’d share this.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to connect with other women in their 20s who love Disney! Whether it's movies, theme parks, or anything Disney-related, I’d love to make some new friends who share this passion. It would be great to hang out, chat, and maybe even do some Disney-related activities or events around the Bay Area. If you're interested, feel free to reach out!

Pixar Pals side entrance was conned off at 10:56 when I turned the corner. So we went around and then they were redirecting everyone to Toy Story lot. Grrrrrr.

In case anyone was wondering, this was the car that caught fire earlier today in Dory Parking 55A. When I got back to the structure around 9:50 AM, I noticed smoke coming from under the hood which quickly turned into flames. I called 911 immediately, and it looked like a few others did too. I got to my car and rushed to find a parking attendant, who then alerted security.
Definitely not the way anyone wants to start/end their day at Disneyland. My heart goes out to the owner of the car and anyone else whose vehicle was affected.🥺🙏🏻
