Question - Other Is it okay to put my EV in the garage with a heat pump water heater that makes the garage cold?
I'm need to purchase a new water heater. The heat pump type are the most energy efficient but they create cold air like an air conditioner, and it will be in the garage with my 2023 Bolt EUV. I am concerned that this will not be good for the battery and range. Any advice or opinions appreciated. Thanks!

Question - Manufacturing Can the 2025 Electric MINI Countryman SE use tesla superchargers?
I've searched the internet everywhere to answer this simple question and I can't for the life of me find a straight answer. Was hoping someone here could give me an answer because this is kind of deal breaker for me.
Edit: I’m in the US

Discussion No Seed Oils in my EV!
TIL no seed oils in my EV! Why isn’t this a bigger selling point? Corn ethanol is a big fuel additive and soy is in synthetic motor oil. My BZ4x is soy free & grain free…lean, mean & green! My mood has improved and skin cleared in my ownership!

Review SKIP THIS PICE OF SH!T - No service, no warranty response
HOME FLEX worked great in the first month, but now it loses the wi-fi connection and fails every charging session. I have to go to the breaker (I am crippled and breaker box in basement, so I drag my butt down a stair at a time), turn off, turn back on, reset the WIFI (access point is 9 inches away in same wall). Half the time, won't connect to the network. When it does connect, the charging session will last anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes. Support is terrible, I entered multiple tickets with no response. can't make a warranty claim because the app won't let you enter the station's MAC address as it does not accept the ":". Wish I had spent the extra $200 and bought the Ford hard-wire charger. I am now stuck with slow charge for the Mustang Mach 3 or paying out the nose for FAST CHARGE. $1800 for the installation of a unit that does not work. Suggest looking past this one.

Discussion Optimistic About Edison Motors
Have been watching the saga of Edison Motors and it seems they have an amazing plan for such a small startup.
Seem to have a great ethic around making a truck with the benefits of an electric vehicle but using as many commodity parts as possible to make repair easier especially for folks that want to run their own rig and suffer a breakdown. No idea if it will turn out in the end but I really respect the approach and can only imagine where they would be if they had even 1/10 of the money Tesla spent on developing their semi.

Discussion "Here's the real reason Android Automotive is still kind of a mess in EVs" - also how Volvo/Polestar are doing it right and how GM is doing it wrong
Very interesting article. I agree with it. The Cadillac Lyriq I have is limited when it comes to the software, and it seems to have been designed as an afterthought, while the Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 I tried are most similar to other EVs like Tesla and Rivan when playing around with them.
The UI and screen size for the Lyriq only allows a limited amount of information to be put on the screen, not enough to really enjoy or utilize the apps.

Question - Other [Europe] Is it common to charge overnight at your hotel or other accommodation?
I am planning a potential road trip with between 25 and 40 charging stops over 6000 km. It will be one or two weeks stationary at a beach, 2 weeks stationary and 2 weeks driving through one or two day city stops.
I am using ABRP to calculate the route, but from past experience i know ABRP does not support me telling it that i will stay overnight at a hotel, or that i will reach the stop at 20 % and leave with 100%. This is if it is common to expect a hotel or AirBnB to let you charge (paid of course) overnight.
So, my main question is, what is your experience charging at hotels in Europe? Is this possible, common, hard, rates, advice?

Question - Other Polestar charging in France
Visiting Montpellier this summer and have been offered a Polestar2 rental. What apps/networks should I pre-setup to make charging easy?
