How to re-braid a cot bumper?
During the course of life, as usual (kids playing, washing it), the cot bumper lost the braiding. How to fix it (end result included)?

Hi guys, my water bottle fell and it's plastic cap broke. The bottle is a thermal flask bottle which are quite expensive in my country. Image for size reference. Can someone suggest ideas on how can I fix it. It was new and I am unable to use it. Also lost the cap so the cap can't be fixed :(

Hi, what is the best way to fix and easiest way to fix this? Should I cut a peace out and get dry wall repair kit?

Hi guys, I cannot remove the screw on the frame of the gravel bike I bought second hand.
Cracked rear view mirror on Jeep Patriot - black plastic construction.
Is there any way I can repair this? Doesn’t need to look professional - I just need it to stop cutting my arm every time I walk past.
Damage occurred when I dropped it off for a service but the mechanic insists it was already like that (it wasn’t).

Behind my dryer, the dryer vent needs to go right to the vent in the wall, but with it sticking out so far I cannot add closet doors. I plan to replace the dryer in the future, but not for a while.

Hi all, This was built in 2017. Since we’ve moved in, we’ve seen more and more cracks in the grout. This Canadian winter we saw months of freezing weather and it basically caused all of the grout to break. Most of the tiles can be taken off like the left one that’s missing in the picture
I was wondering what we could do different to prevent this when we fix it this year. I think the white staining on the tiles are from the grout that was originally there, not sure if there’s any fixing those
My parents home had the same grout between the tiles for 20 years without any issues.

If any of you all have used gorilla glue, my sister just got a brand new water bottle for her birthday and has been so happy with it. I was carrying it in from the car for her and dropped it on the rockery and the handle snapped off. She gets really upset about these things and I feel so guilty so I want to fix it, but I don't know what type of gorilla glue I should use for it because there's so many.
Any ideas?

As you can see in the video, I set the timer and press start but the dryer just hums and it sounds like the timer mechanism is spinning but not starting the dryer. However if I manually aid the drum the dryer will start... What can I do to fix this and save my money?

I am looking for any advice on how to best fix the front door to a home I recently bought built in ~1900. Not only is the door slanted left to right, but the entire bottom of the floor slightly slopes as well. I'm thinking I need to take the entire door out, and cut the door jam?

So, there are all fluorescent tube lights all around the house, and they F40T12 ones 40 W, and I got the one from Home Depot which is universal and says plug and play and compatible with that… with F40-T12 ones so I replaced that, but then after a while I smell burning smell and see fumes (with buzzing and flickering going, then immediately turned off the switch), took the light out, then realised the fumes and smell was from LED, but then I used one other new fluorescent and put back in same place, it worked fine…. What is going on? Shall I just get the Philips Alto(in picture as the GE like that, they sell anymore)……

Hi all, my name is bethany. First time living alone, i unfortunately don’t have parents to help me or much money, so knowing what the charges are ranged at would help immensely too! These photos are two days after having the fridge off. I bought this double door fridge for A$80 off of marketplace a couple of months ago and it worked fine for the first month, but then it started to fluctuate up and down in temp. I couldn’t change the temperatures or modes on the front switch board thing. It started to say “ed” and “f” something on the panel too. The fridge would always make weird noises, but it didn’t have a constant running fridge noise, however the light would turn on when i opened the fridge door so i knew it was still running. There was no build up of frost/ice in the freezer (there was quite a bit of food though at the bottom). The ice trays i have then weren’t freezing fully. Then the freezer was warmer than the fridge, and even the fridge wasn’t very cold. So i had to throw everything in my freezer away. Luckily i have an older fridge thats small but it works, so my fridge stuff got transported into that one. I then turned off the fridge for 48 hours, opened the doors and a pint size puddle formed at the front of the fridge the next night. researched it and apparently that’s the process of manually defrosting the fridge? Does it look like there’s something specifically wrong with it? i have no idea what to do 😭 (This is my first time using reddit, i read through the terms of the page to make sure i’m doing this correctly but if i am not please let me know!)

Seeking advice on whether this setup will suffice: I recently relocated and unfortunately misplaced the center leg support for my metal bed frame. All other components are assembled and appear to be secure. I’m wondering how essential is the center support in maintaining the frame’s stability and durability? I contacted Zinus for a replacement, but they only offer a full set of parts and screws, which is quite costly. I appreciate any insights. thank you in advance!

Reddit fam! I need your help. Accidentally touched acetone on a dining table and left some tissue residue along with it. How can I safely take this off without causing more damage?

Hi, I'm new. My hubby and I moved into my mom's apartment for a while until we can get back on our feet.
We are in the master bedroom. Used to be my deceased dad's room. The sliding pocket door is off the track, it's so jammed packed. I don't know what my dad did to this door.
By pulling on the sliding door, even with force it won't bulge. We have screwdrivers, but what is the best course of action to get this door on to the track so it can easily slide back and forth?

I had someone re-tile my shower a few years ago. Most of the grout work is fine and looks like the light grey photo.
However, one section has a weird issue where the grout never seems to dry, is sticky to the touch, and seems to "leak" a sticky, oily ubstance down the tile. It comes right off the tile with any regular cleaning solution, but always returns.
Does this mean something was done incorrectly with the waterproof barrier like not waiting long enough before the guy did the tiling over? I remember the barrier was very very red.
If it was going to fail, I'd have expected it by now, but maybe I'm living on borrowed time. Additionally, it's certainly unsightly.
Amy ideas what the actual problem is? And is there any way to fix it outside of removing that wall of tiling? Or is this a full teardown kind of issue?

Hello, I want to preface this by saying this very thing happened about two years ago. I called an electrician and it turned out my main breaker was just slightly tripped. Once reset everything that wasn't fully working went back to normal. I tried resetting my main breaker again this time but it hasn't changed anything.
I was just cooking food in my oven and on my stove top, the food in my oven and the first thing I made on the stovetop cooked fine, but then I tried to boil water and it got steamy but would not boil. I tried cranking another element but it seemed to just get warm (I have one of those flat top stoves if that matters). I also had the dryer on and checked if there was heat and there wasn't. If this is the same as last time my hot water won't be working as well, but it's too soon to tell. These are all on seperate breakers, do I need to replace my main breaker? Is this something I have to call an electrician to do? Or if you have any ideas of how to fix it I would love to hear it.
EDIT: I am realizing if I need to replace my main breaker I can't do it myself and need to turn off my power completely. Any other ideas for what could be going on is helpful!

The bottom sash of my shower window wouldn't stay open - turns out the part that was holding the sash in place is gone on both sides. They must have been metal and rusted/corroded to dust.
Above is a picture of the broken part (the round black thing) Any idea what this is called and if it replaceable?
Thank you in advance!

I’m not sure how long we’ve had this tv for but this line has been across it for a while and in person it’s very noticeable and distracting. We don’t have money to replace it. Does anyone know how we could fix this?
