Came back home from living abroad for several years, all my trees are not only alive but thriving. Mangos, mandarines, avocados and the fourth one I don’t know the name in English (hand for size reference).

It ain’t alot but it’s a start!

Found in our backyard in Bristol, Virginia!

New England. As you can see I’ve already processed it so I’m pretty damn sure it’s bitter dock (looks like dock, app said “hybrid dock”, double checked images, and another foraging website). Foraging website said young slimy leaves were dead giveaway and these were the slimiest of the slime. Just a double triple check before I use the roots.

Is there an app or something that can tell you when stuff is blooming around you? I’d prefer free options if available

Anyone know the specific species?

I hope it still counts as ochazuke even if it’s not authentic dashi but I do know one thing which is that this made for a damn tasty breakfast.

Found in BC Canada - Vancouver Island. These pinks are thriving in challenging spoil/shale and get a lot of direct sun. Stunning - no clue what they are. Also some leafy greens im curious about. Leafy greens in moss partial shade. Other leafy green both shade and sunny locations.

I FOUND THIS IN MY YARD. THE SAME YARD WITH MASSIVE DANDELIONS, PINK(And white)DAISYS, AND ENOUGH ELEPHANT GARLIC TO SEASON AN ELEPHANT. I love this place.

I've been wanting to make some tea out of pine needles,but the only pines that grows around my area are Stone pine trees (pinus pinea).I've seen some sites that say that the needles are toxic,and some sites that say that they are completely safe.

So,can I make myself a pine needle tea with these,or will I have to stick to mint?

I have a bunch of day lillies that my friend has pulled from her garden.

Would the shoots be good pickled or fermented?

Found in Connecticut. Slightly fuzzy

I thought they were wild garlic because the area where I picked them it smelled a lot like wild garlic but when I smelled the plant it didn't smell like anything and it tasted like nothing as well

South east U.S. I found this in a very wet area near a creek. The flower reminds me of an orchid but I couldn’t find anything wild orchids that looked like this.

Anyone here bought the barebones foraging bag? I feel like it's been enough time with it being out, people have used it to enough to get an idea of the quality. How is it? Is it comfortable to be tracking around in the woods for miles with? Can I store books and mushrooms in it? Tell me your thoughts or give me suggestions on a solid foraging bag. I really like the mesh bottom to it
