Decor Question for all the pumpkin heads.
Hello! It's currently April, but the Halloween spirit never dies. What do you folks do to keep the spirit a blaze for the remainder of the year? Currently, I'm planning a new yard setup for 2025. The skeleton in the photo above was purchased from Home Depot, and "corpsified" by myself.

Yea I like to maybe once a week watch a spooky movie and turn on the Halloween lights I have around my tv (yes they’re still up). I also love reading spooky books. Only 4 months until we start seeing some Halloween stuff in the stores!

Skelly looks great! You can always kick off the spring season by celebrating Walpurgis Night - April 30

Nice job on the skeleton! I like to watch Halloween movies/shows (like Goosebumps:The Haunted Mask) and haunted house walk throughs from theme parks (like Halloween Horror Nights).

Asides of having my halloween decoration here and there a way I got the spirit blazed is by using the time I have before Halloween to plan a head thing that I will enjoy from games to series and save up money knowing deam well I will expend every single dime on anything that cought my attention

Halloween playlists are for moods, not a season. So that keeps the creepy bonfire burning. Also horror is a state of mind, not just a movie genre. I try to keep it spooky all year round, but I don’t really kick it into high gear until school is back in session.

Any good suggestions for ordering fall candies this time of year? I’d like to stock up before the wretched sun starts to claim the earth once again (summer ha)

Haha happy I’m not alone! I mean to be fair I put myself here in the first place- but still. TOO HOT. Calm down, summer. Sure yes global warming but please- don’t burn away my eyelids until at least July!

Instead of putting Halloween decorations into storage, I put them in my home office.

Prop building is a year round project for me. That way, I can spread out all the expenses. This isn't an inexpensive hobby and little nibbles are easier to take than big chunks all at one time.

Can you share how you did the effects on the skeleton? Beautiful work

Hey! Sure thing. All I used was cotton spiderwebs dipped in liquid latex. They stretch nicely over the bones. Once it dried, I used different shades of brown and green paint to splotch the latex. Also, I hot glued a few rubber cockroaches to it for added grossness.

It's halfway to Halloween! You must celebrate ! I ordered pumpkin spice coffee and bought whipped cream pumpkin spice. I've had a psl every day. I put up a few decorations. I've been watching Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic, etc. 🎃🎃🎃
