Life Span Genies
I was wondering what the life expectancy of genies is according to theories. It is said in Thane's lore that he is really old, and that he has been serving Bracada for years, that even the elders don't remember a time without him. So I was wondering if genies could die of old age or if their only way to die is if they get killed.

Alem is at the very least ten thousand years old, says so directly in the biography (and humorously, that makes others 'find him old-fashioned'); though he's spent that timespan bottled, so it's uncertain whether that counts against a 'lifespan' or is more akin to a suspended animation state.
Nefafareen was the first Efreet to wield magic, and she's both still teaching, and doesn't mind going off-plane for an occasional adventure.
Next to that, evidence such as Ancients' installations holding Genies and Efreeti who, by all indication, held their vigil from before the Silence; Solmyr's dismay at being stuck in the Immortal King's service, treating it as rather permanent; and other miscellaneous genies' stated centuries of being active — is rather redundant. By all indication, such elemental beings have effectively unlimited lifespan, albeit still mortal in the sense of being able to die by violent means.
