Question How do you win a student election?

If you’re running against more popular people how would you win? Also, from a college standpoint, how much does the type of position matter? Ex vice president vs treasurer vs historian vs secretary

Honestly, there’s a pretty low chance you’ll win if that’s the case. People usually vote off of name recognition and generally how well liked the person is. The good news is that it doesn’t matter that much, colleges aren’t going to reject you just because you weren’t vice president and were instead secretary. So I’d say, run for VP, you’ll probably lose but who knows, you could also win. If not, the other options you listed are also great.

Be the most absurd person you can do. Propose the most insane stuff. Start a mini military inside your school to own the other candidates. Buy votes.

Make a speech so incredibly memorable, that it makes any competition look feeble in comparison

I'm dead serious, that's like it lol you have to be so good that people are like "who was that one guy"

Set the fire alarm off so that the sprinklers spray water on the counting machine and break it. Then have a USPS truck show up with more mail in ballots.

It’s a popularity contest mostly, so policies generally do not matter. Unless you propose something ridiculous that’s unaffordable. Turnout rates are also generally pretty low.
