West coast girly here and never moved out here so was wondering if anyone could help me! So I got a job offer at the VA Illiana, and was considering accepting it. However, I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about the crime scene in Danville, which concerns me, being a POC and a woman. Someone said to avoid proper Danville area, and go either find a place 10-15 mins away from there, or a place called Champaign-Urbana, and I’ll be fine? Is this true? Also how is the social scene? Do people usually go out like that or is it kind of dead? Or do they drive elsewhere like Chi to “go out“? Also what’s the cost of living life there? Thank you so much in advance!

The energy was so great today. So pleased to see a great turnout.

I was there, it was… insane. Surreal. It took my breath away. They had a giant tv on one of the buildings showing the chopper footage and that’s when it really hit how many people were there. Thank you to everybody who showed up today all around the country and world❤️‍🔥
