My only guess, and it's a guess, would be there's an air pocket to the side of the nugget and it has something to do with the temperature and air pressure in the oven. If some egghead could work out the science that would be great.

you need to freeze the rotation of their Ridigid body or in the code reset their velocities. My assumption is that you are manipulating their directional velocities without also controlling their rotation velocities.

I know the answer. Some moisture evaporated (or a chunk of ice) from the nugget underneath it and is boiling, acting like an air hockey table or whatever, reducing the amount of friction and adding kinetic energy to make it spin.

A couple months ago, I was envisioning my game, and I was picturing a circular patch of water rendered with higher definition water, where the rest of the water would be less detail.

I was driving along a lake and as soon as I pictured that, I saw a boat that had moved in a circle, creating a circular patch of water that had a different pattern than the rest of the lake....

It was a matrix moment.

I had an acid trip at my girlfriends house years ago, where I took a "sample" dose so we'd know how strong it was. It was supposed to just be us, sitting around by her apartments pool, and a chill day where she could babysit me.

Suddenly, her entire family shows up. They decided to throw her a very early surprise birthday party. A good month early at that. They bring out a cake, and were all sitting at one of the tables while they sing happy birthday and then slice into it. Strawberry filling, so it looked like blood and gore coming out.

In my acid fueled brain, I'm thinking "what if the cake was alive and we just killed it? What kind of weird sacrificial ritual did we just partake in?!" And i say out loud "what if cakes were alive?", and her whole family just stares at me like I'm an idiot. My girl laughs and plays it off like it's just my sense of humor, and I go hide in her bedroom until they all leave.

Fast forward like 6 years, we went to and came home from college and got an apartment, then our 2nd apartment and we needed a roommate to help pay the rent. I had a co worker who was an Illustrator and artist and he moved in with us.

This cake story had been stuck in my mind all these years, I've told it multiple times, and it became one of my girls favorite stories to tell for some reason. We're all talking about something and taking acid comes up, and she says "oh Dan has a great story about being high on acid. Have you told him yet?!"

So i tell him the story and the entire time he's staring at me like I just kicked his puppy.

He gets up, goes to his room, and comes back with a thumbnail drive and puts it in my computer and opens a video file.

What does he play? A video he made in college of my exact story. A group of people sitting around singing happy birthday while a cake begs for it's life, before they cut into it and slaughter it. He made that his freshman year of college, about the same time I had that trip.
