Selling MSFT, S&P, NVIDIA, etc.

I did well w those stocks in particular, but was holding out until I could use them to finally cross off my goal of owning a home in LA.

Just curious what people are doing right now given the tariffs... I'm thinking of selling 50% and then reinvesting after the tariffs get implemented.

I'm not an experienced trader by any means, not aggressive with investing, just using it to stay afloat, have retirement, fund my parents' retirement (they have none), and buy a home one day. Would love your input, thank you!

If you want to buy something with this money I think it’s smart to sell some profits. I sold 70% of my portfolio last week and got a flat for myself. I didn’t feel ok with chance of losing next 20%

Hopefully it goes down now and I continue monthly reinvestments

Sell solid stocks with solid businesses and reasonable valuations at these levels? Great idea!

Idk I wouldn’t sell any of those. Just sell covered calls

It’s up to you. Don’t listen to people telling you to hold “just because”.

These are good companies and will be great investments over time. There’s nothing wrong with selling a portion, taking some gains, and then slowly DCAing over the next year or so with your normal income.

There’s also nothing wrong with keeping your position, if you’re okay with losing potentially half of it.
