Therizino in sandbox

Is the scissor chicken available to unlock in sandbox? I know everything CAN be available in sandbox but I still prefer to play with objectives and challenges, so I didn't set this game in creative mode. I've just looked through my research and can't find the therizino under any of the species nodes. Am I just blind or is it not available through the research route??

You might be blind, or the Therizino is hiding in a node it shares with another dinosaur.

When I played sandbox with all the dinos I remember being pissed at not being able to find the Allosaurus anywhere, turns out you unlocked it alongside the Giga, but the node only showed the image of the Giga.

If you just skim through the research without looking at what each node unlocks individually you end up missing some stuff.

Yeah I was reading all the dino names under the nodes cuz I know it only shows one image out of the unlocks but I couldn't see it anywhere. Probably am just blind though, I'll have to check again. I checked like three times but it was late and I may have been more tired than I realized 😅

IIRC it’s one of the last nodes under “Large Herbivores,” if that helps.

I'll check again! I did check all the nodes a few times (even the obviously wrong ones like the aquatic reptiles lmao) but I probably just missed it. Thanks!

I always have difficulty finding it, IIRC which node it is changes from mode to mode/difficulty to difficulty too

Short answer is yes, assuming you didn’t fuck your settings somehow to limit available dinos, which idk if you can even do in sandbox. Its one of the last researches in large or armored herbivores.

Ohh if it's in armored herbivores I could've definitely overlooked it. I'll check again once I'm home, thanks!

And yeah I do enjoy sandbox but I prefer a bit of a grind rather than just having everything handed over (unless it's the Sims lmao). I get bored really quick once a park is built and it just becomes maintenance with no clear objective. Even if it isn't a big story-based objective or something, I feel more satisfied working for the research myself and making upgrades as I go along rather than it all being perfect from the start!

I think you need the Biosyn expansion DLC to be able to get it, though I could be wrong.
