Choose your fighter! I’m leaving it up to Reddit to decide the mark for my graphic design gig. Colors subject to change. One vote to rule them all.

It seems, when presented with a “logos then and now” type graphic, this sub will universaly lament the loss of individualism, fun, colour etc over the decades.
Simultaneously, when someone presents something they’re working on, almost all responses read “too much going on, lose the colour, make sure it works for every single edge case, a black square would be better”…
How do we explain this?
Reminds me of boomer mentality on childcare: demanding kids be wrapped in cotton then, in the next breath, complaining that playgrounds aren’t dangerous enough anymore.

Are you a creative professional in the fields of graphic design, visual identity, branding and/or marketing?
I would like your objective expert opinion on which NHL team has the "best" logo, based not on historical, emotional, geographic ties, rooting interests, or other such subjective reasons, but rather a visual analysis based purely on aesthetic elements, like colors, shapes, letters, harmony, etc.
I'm a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and I like their current logo, but I've never loved writing the whole team name out on the logo (also looking at you, New York Rangers). I personally like logos that can stand on their own by showing me rather than telling me. So many fans will cite the Montreal Canadiens' logo but so much of that is based on their storied legacy of championships. Original Six teams get a lotta love by virtue of their long history, but are they objectively the best?
Any takers?

I cannot figure out how to fix this line
I made this logo for a lady and after converting it to a pdf, it comes up like this. I've tried resizing, I've tried changing the actual line to a different graphic, I've tried everything!! Is there anything I can do to fix this???

Hey Everyone!
The original logo (on the left) is what the university currently uses. I felt like I could explore alternate directions to modernize it a bit, improve readability, and reflect the university's motto: "Crafting Excellence."
I went through a few iterations, as you can see: 1️⃣ My first version tried to incorporate the full name and make it feel more formal.
2️⃣ Second version focused on simplicity, readability, and upward growth using the arrow motif.
3️⃣ Third version introduced a gear (my engineering background showing 😅) and circuit-like nodes to represent connection and innovation.
I now realize the logo should represent all fields, not just engineering, so I’m still exploring new directions. For now, I’d really appreciate any critique—be it design fundamentals, visual balance, typography, or symbol relevance.
Thanks in advance to everyone who shares thoughts. I’m learning and want to improve!

My website (and brand) name is Nikolai's Photos. The design philosophy behind this logo conveys simplicity (my dominant photography style) and tries to incorporate the N and P from the name into a logo that also looks like a camera on a short tripod. Let me know what you think!

Trying a new concept, I think the two negative spaces help define the M and the tip of the swoop of the J. Here to hear some thoughts.

designing a letter mark and word mark for a new business idea. im pretty happy with the letter mark although it does feel a bit unbalanced, but the word mark is really getting to me. I want to keep it consistent with the letter mark and have it to where they work together in a heading and sub heading arrangement, but i cent seem to find what works. Any thoughts and pointers?

Logo for an application. The company is approaching in a similar style to Trivago or Priceline. This is just for feedback.

Hey everyone!
I recently worked on a logo redesign as a personal project to practice my design thinking and execution. I took an existing logo and tried to modernize it while keeping the brand’s core identity intact. This isn't for a client—just a self-initiated redesign for learning purposes.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the direction I took:
What works?
What could be improved?
How do you feel about the balance between the old and the new?
Feedback is totally welcome. I’m always looking to improve and understand how others perceive design choices!

Hey guys! My name is Amichai, and my wife and I are building what we believe will be the next figma. We're desperately looking for as much feedback from designers as possible so if you're a professional (or hobbiest) designer, your feedback is crucial to us. This is the website and the best forum to join the journey is via our discord server but you can reach out via email or just reply here as well.
Thanks! I really hope this doesn't fall under self-promotion. If yes, sorry in advance.

Hi everyone,
I want you to please critic my logo for a streetwear brand as It is very hard for me to decide on a logo. I wanted a memorable brown looking person mascot. Is it recognizable enough from afar and good for brand image? my target audiences is 14-25.
Thank you in advance.

An fun exercise in simplicity, executed while awaiting to board my next flight. Two logos designed for companies with names related to the sun.
