Sounds like a diesel with a turbo. Need all the torque to turn the rubber.

No spool delay, I'd assume it's a diesel from the coal rolling, but also a supercharger from the sound

sounds like a turbo

No spool up and no blow off

1

u/mrcranz 5h ago

considering the tower of soot shooting out of the hood it’s safe to say that turbo is already fully spooled up. diesels do not have blow off valves

I would expect a turbo diesel V8, but that honestly sounds more like a turbodiesel V6

The people of r/snowrunner might know

u/I_AM_FERROUS_MAN 1d ago

I think you're right. It might not even be a 4 stroke diesel. It might be 2 stroke.

That clutch though must be HOT!!!

3

u/Exotic_Standard_5040 1d ago

Like an old Detroit

1

u/Kennel_King 1d ago

Not a 2 stroke, they have a very distinctive sound and that isn't it

u/Exotic_Standard_5040 1d ago

Is it a jeep it could be a 4bt

1

u/ImaginationRare5101 1d ago

Not a jeep. Pretty sure it's an Izuzu, Toyota, Suzuki, or maybe a Nissan. Not a USDM vehicle.

1

u/Exotic_Standard_5040 1d ago

Maybe a Toyota it looks awfully jeep tho

I own a 24v cummins. That doesnt sound like a cummins

1

u/AntiSonOfBitchamajig 1d ago

5.9 would be a deeper sound with not as much response, plus idk how you'd pack one in that.

A Mercedes OM606 inline 6... would fit the sound and response perfectly.
