Discussion Where’s everyone shopping for resort clothing?
I’m really liking the look of Frescobol Carioca’s ss 2025 collection. Anything else that should be on my radar?

Im looking for that white sneaker for the office. I had a pair of Oliver Cabell but I found them uncomfortable. I know Common Projects and people swear by them. Are they still considered THE white shoe? Or is there another? I don’t mind spending that much if it’s a shoe I can keep for years as I will take care of them, but also want them to be on trend. Thank you!

Banana Republic Athletic Traveler Pant 2.0
I would wear a brown belt. I am assuming brown shoes. What shoes would go well with these? Any links would be appreciated.

So I am someone who works in law, so I usually am dressed in business casual. On the weekends I like to mix high and low, for example putting dressy items like blazers or topoats or dress shoes with casual items like sweat shirts, t-shirts, jeans, etc.
Anyway, I've found brands like Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Abercrombie great for my needs, especially given their recent upgrades in fashion direction. They also have occasionally some pretty good dark rinse and raw denim jeans. Also, they have a lot of good sales if you're patient.
My problem is I've gotten bored and it all feels a little too safe. I wanted to go out of my comfort zone ans try different brands that feel a little more elevated and grown up but still have that same general personality?
I've been trying slightly more upstream brands like Todd Snyder and John Varvatos, but I was hoping you guys had some ideas to share. I'm also open to smaller boutiques that are not major chains. I live in New York with easy access to Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens if that helps as far as recommending smaller more local boutiques.
I'm willing to go moderatel more expensive than the J. Crew and Banana Republic level, around where Snyder and Varvatos are, but not to the Barney's level if that makes sense.
Thanks in advance!

I’m trying to take my fashion up a notch. Where can I start to learn about styles and items. Like general knowledge etc. Basically how do you go about learning/getting better at understanding styling?

All I seem to see is cutaway or even button down at a push in UK affordable fashion shops like Moss Bros, Lewin, Next etc - one side of the argument is that they sell what people buy, but the other side is people won't buy it if they don't sell it. I am looking for some more classic straight point collars, but are there any other suggestions for great looking shirt collars to go with a suit and tie?

My jacket size is either a 40S or 42S and I just have become a little too wide for how long my torso is. Does anyone have any tips for modern brands that you like or maybe how to find nicely cropped stuff secondhand?

I wear a suit to work every weekday, and I was considering getting something more dressy than a rain coat (jacket + pants). Trench coats come to mind alongside an umbrella, but most trench coats are above knee level. How do we protect our pants in moderate rain / high winds? Do we just wear rain pants (like you would with a rain coat) alongside the trench?

I have two pairs of boots: the Thursday's boots Captain with " Rugged & Resilient Leather" and Grant Stone's Diesel boot with "Chromexcel from Horween". I have Cobbler's Choice Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner from Thursday Boot and Saphir Renovateur from Grant Stone. Is there any harm in using the cleaners on the boots from the other companies? For example, using the Cobbler's Choice on the Diesel or using the Saphir on the Captain? I was wondering because my limited understanding is that the leather on the Captain is different than the chromexel on the Diesel.

I do sweat a lot in summer especially on legs and back side of knees. I can not wear normal trousers as they always show sweat stains. I have to wear darker colors like navy or black
Are there any trousers that I can wear to office with shirt and maybe even jacket that wont show the sweat stains?
Thanks

Hello everyone, i hope everyone's day/night is going well. this is really awkard since this is my first post, but i have to do it since i have a lot of trouble finding the style i'd look good or feel confortable, i'm in my 20's and still haven't figured out how to dress normally, i always wear jeans and hoodies which look really bad. i'm a big guy (horizontally lol) as well so it's a lil hard for me to look good in clothes most people wear. i keep looking at pinterest to find some new styles but it's not helping much. i have no clue how to mix colors, pants, shirts, jackets, shoes and other clothes. if there's someone else who had this same problem and got over it, pleeeeaaase tell me how and what did you guys do. Thank you all and i hope you all have an amazing day/night. ❤️

I have a sensitive throat so I prefer v-necks over crew necks. I recently bought a bunch of Polo Ralph Lauren t shirts and was disappointed they all shrank a full size after one time in the dryer, despite being labeled dryer friendly.

I lost 50 pounds over the last year. My stomach and with are smaller than my stomach and waist. Is there a style of t shirt that will hug my stomach and waist instead of hanging like blanket off my chest?

I'm planning to go to an event in about a month that calls for business casual and wanted to try something new for shoes. I also want to plan a little ahead since I would want to wear these loafers in both casual and not too formal settings (with shorts, dark jeans, etc.) going forward.
I prefer penny loafers (over tassel, bit, etc.) but I can't decide if suede or calf leather fits my needs better. For the color I think I like more of a dark brown or espresso color. So would either style work given my color preference?
Options I'm considering (I'd like to go with the cheap options for my first loafer if possible):
Initially I'll wear them with a pair of blue cotton/linen blend pants from Banana Republic with a white button-down shirt.
Pants: https://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=6655850023534#pdp-page-content
Currently I own 2 dressy shoes (I don't want the loafers to overlap in style/color):

Looking to buy a pair. I want to use it for everyday casual use.
I was looking at RW Williams but boy are those expensive. What ones do you wear and price point? Bonus for including link.
I don't mind $300 for shoes but $700~ is a lot. Unless they really are worth it, I'll consider.

I’ve been looking for a nice minimalistic all black leather sneaker and came across the Jak Royal NZ, however I can’t seem to find many reviews about them online. Does anyone have experience with their shoes?

I like and have Tecovas boots, so I know the quality is there. Their loafers they've had out for a while I didn't care for, looked to much like outside slippers to me.
However, the new release has me interested : https://www.tecovas.com/products/the-bennett
What are we thinking?
I kind of like them.

Hey guys! I need to buy some clothes and I have access to some outlet / factory stores. Specifically, here are the brands:
Timberland Gap Banana Republic Levis
Should I go to the outlet stores or is it worth going to the actual stores and spending the extra cash?
Thanks!

I need help finding a warm-toned garnet red dress shirt for my brother to wear to prom. I just don’t know where to go to find such a thing since all the red dress shirts at the department stores I’ve searched through are either fire engine red or a cool-toned burgundy. Prom is in three weeks and he wants to match with his girlfriend. Please help!

I recently started posting flat-lays of my outfits. Every piece is thrifted / second hand (except hats!!)
Hope you guys take some inspiration from these :) These were my most liked outfits on Insta last month.

Hi everyone, I've been looking to purchase some OCBD Shirts. With my current budget (I'm a student), I'm considering Spier and Mackay's OCBD shirts. But I had a question regarding the collar length and spread.
Does anyone know if their collars have length and spread (see image A)? Or are they shorter and narrower (see image B)? Honestly, I prefer the style of shirt depicted in 'A'.

I have wedge shaped hobbit feet and usually need a wide. Just spent 2 hrs in a shoe store trying on 10 different pairs of dress shoes in various widths and sizes. Its like every company changed the last shape. Everything is S shaped super narrow and pointy in the toe. No one makes an V shaped rounded toe Oxford anymore. Either my heel is slopping, toes getting pinched or inside arch falling over the edge. This sucks

I've been looking for weeks at this point, both on vinted and online retailers and have found nothing. The closest thing I've found to what I'm looking for is unfortunately a pair of shorts sold on shein, which I'm not ordering from. Just for reference I live in the UK, and my spending limit would be around £30/$40, thanks :)
