Real person here. Probably getting perceived as defending Nintendo specifically, more just pointing out that this was inevitable. When a product gets more and more expensive to create, and you run out of distribution overhead to cut, the options are grind the people making it to dust, or charge more for it. If games kept up with inflation you’d already be paying $120 for them. Also earthbound was $80 at launch on the fucking NES.
