So you need the sub and to pay for the game itself at 80$ a piece?

You would need to do the same for PS or xBox games. Elden Ring has online function which only works if you have Ps Plus on the playstation as an example. (PC is just better if you wanna play online)

Xbox first party games are included with your subscription though.

Slight clarification on this. Xbox First Party games are available with a subscription on Xbox, not every game that is on Xbox. The Elden Ring example above is true on both Xbox and PS.

Also Not every Xbox first party game is available on Xbox’s cheapest subscription.
