The rich guy in my neighborhood added a G Wagon to his collection, safe to say I’m jealous.
It adds to his (fake) Maybach, idk why he doesn’t have a real one, his RR Phantom and McLaren GT 😮💨

Unfortunately my previous car was writ off in a non fault accident. After a few months of shopping around, I stumbled across this C220d. Absolutely made up!

Accidentally hit it over a curve, wondering how much would normally cost to fix it, or how difficult to do so? Is it possible to fix it without replacing the whole door? Thank you!

I wanted an SL for a few years and recently found this one. It’s a late 2006, 5g auto without ABC, 155k km / 96k miles. Not one scratch on it + a set of 20inch Brabus wheels and 16inch winter wheels. Seller wants 17.900€ as the last price. Worth it?

I’m looking at buying a 2007 Mercedes S550 with 130,000 km (about 80k miles). It’s listed for 7000$. Overall, it looks solid, but the driver’s seat is pretty messed up.
This would be my first Mercedes, so I’d love to hear from people who’ve owned or driven this model. What should I look out for in terms of maintenance or reliability? Is it worth it if it’s been well-maintained?
Any advice, experience, or red flags would be appreciated!

Hi all! Been looking around for a car I really like and stumbled onto this one. I read it is reliable besides some rusting issues.
I live in Canada where it snows a lot, if I put a rust-proof coat on it, should I be ok?
Any tips on what to purchase or look out for? How to make sure I don't get scammed?
I'm new to this but would really like to get into it. Let me know!
And if there are any communities I could join for eventual support and how to learn to maintain it myself.
Thanks everyone!

Work in progress here. Was happy to see no rust in the floor. Might do the door panels later in the summer. Unfortunately there was no space for a noise absorbing mat as the floor carpet is very thick and gives no flex. But 2nd layer of noise absorbing mat will go under the rear seat and trunk.

Today I picked up my first Mercedes, coming out of a 2014 Lexus ES350, my parents got me this 2015 C300 4Matic as a graduation present. Car is very clean with only 65k miles.

GLA 45 AMG, because it’s hard to find a CLA 45 AMG that’s a good deal… I really just wanted something more fun than my Hyundai Accent to drive around as a daily while I keep my 2023 Mustang GT nice and stored away. What’s the fun factor like with these things? Is it fun? What will a stage 1 Weistec or Renntech tune do, and what kinda power numbers? Is this worth it?

Hey Guys,
I own the mentioned car and wanted to change the exhaust and tips. However, I'm not quite sure what type of tips suits the car the most. One thing for sure, I want to leave it one-sided.
So i wanted to ask if you could please put up some suggestions or your preferences. Or maybe you've seen something cool etc. Just so I can gather some inspiration from you :)
(Hope it's OK to ask for this on this sub)
I kind of like the ones in the pics, but not sure if they would fit. But surely not the classic AMG 4x tips. It's just to much for a 4 cylinder..

I’ve honestly always been super interested in the idea of owning a CLA 45 AMG… lotta people might say that’s weird… I don’t care, a 400hp 4cyl AWD 4 door lightweight machine has always been appealing to me… I already have a 2023 Mustang GT as my weekend driver, I’m just super bored with my Hyundai Accent daily driver. I found a 2019 CLA 45 AMG for sale for $29,000, with only 17,500 miles… here’s the kicker though, it has upgraded turbos and it’s tuned… so no warranty available. Is it still worth it?

Hey there! I'm currently thinking about buying a second hand 2008 Mercedes C200 W204 Avantgarde. I felt like I needed an upgrade from my older C200 W203 Kompressor :D, so to those who own it, any opinions regarding the car? Is it high in terms maintenance?

Hey Guys! So I’m a prospective Mercedes buyer, who wants to know exactly what to expect when it comes to service fees and reliability.
Having a Mercedes Benz has always been a dream of mine and after a recent raise, I feel like I will have enough to go through with it. I am a single 25 year old and will now be taking home a little over $5k/month after taxes ($73k/yr). I have about $50k in bank & other money in investments.
I’m looking to buy either a used C300, E350 or CLA250. I’ve heard horror stories about outrageous service fees and horrible reliability.
So how reliable are the vehicles I mentioned and what amount of money would I realistically need to make in order to afford a Mercedes? Thank you! 🙏🏿

It’s in a C shape to go around my front axle since I have a 4matic and connects the bottom of my air strut to the lower control arm. Having a lot of trouble trying to find it online.

Thought I’d share my run at a dealer in the Bay Area. Test drove a GLE 450e with a few options and msrp of ~79K, with a $1600 paint protection of some kind. These don’t lease well and the money factor was about 7.75%. We talked the 36 month 1.99% finance special. He came back with a first offer to finance at msrp and reduced the paint protection to 900. I told him I need 10% off msrp. Manager came over, said they had already priced in 5K tariff over msrp, and offered 5K off. We had a nice chat. I told him no thanks and we walked.

Hello! I live in the south and you may or may not have seen the insane storms we have gotten the past few days. A few days ago after the first storm, the blinker in my car was being very odd. The speed of the blinker was changing, speeding up and slowing down. After a few seconds, it would just not blink at all (The headlights and tail lights would stop blinking too, not just the LED in the car). Today, I was driving my car at a low speed on a wet city road and the car started blinking the traction control light. Along with that it seemed to be hitting the breaks and preventing me from accelerating, almost like it thought I was in a deep puddle or something. I also noticed my HOLD feature was no longer working. I pulled into a parking lot as fast as I could and restarted the car. The restart seemed to fix the initial issues, but as I was making it back home, the car started blinking the red collision alarm. There was no one by me and I was perfectly centered in my lane.
I am worried something in my car has been water damaged or something like that, but I am not getting any sort of codes, check engine lights, etc. Also, resetting the car seems to have fixed most of the problems, which is odd to me. I do not know if these are one-off or recurring problems as I haven't gotten back in the car yet. What scares me is that I have now had 3-4 problems occur the only two times I have driven the car since the first storm. I am going to take it do either the dealership or a third party shop I trust to be sure, but I wanted to see if anyone has had these problems before or if they are all indicative of something specific. Thanks!

Hi im thinking about buying a used Citan 111 in the long version with seven seat's and a disel motor. Is this a good choice for a long lasting car?
r/mercedes_benz • u/Theta_Mouse • 53m ago
Hi, Need your experience assessing this car. It seems in great shape. About 70k miles. Carfax says no accidents. What should I be looking for so I’m not buying a massive repair bill?

04 w211 4matic
This rattle is originating from around the transfer case (possibly above it). When I got under the car the joints didn’t seem all that loose, I could twist the rear drive shaft about 1cm in each direction, resulting in a slight clunk sound.
Most noticeably when I was thinking about what might have happened it stopped making noise, and then stayed quiet for a good while, but is happening again, but seems to stop when under power.
Don’t mind the power steering lol, there is fluid but who knows. Not the priority.

*they are both around the same price. 2006 version is e200, and 2008 is e220
