This sub won't let me link to the post, but. I found a post in mildly infuriating about this that's 11 months old. I thought this stupid idea was trialled and ditched but maybe it's still happening. But just google: you have reached the limit for seeing posts today, for past examples.

Yeah I was going to say this was something he tried out a while back, all it did was break twitter and a lot of people just upped and left.
