Office with large windows and a habit of sticky notes with the password stuck to the monitor = a 24 hour rental of a 50 megapixel DSLR and a 800mm lens with 2x teleconverter.
I don't know why people always imagine a physical intrusion as something that doesnt happen: "Oh the hackers won't come to your house". No they won't, but industrial espionage is still a thing. Unless you can somehow verify every "Janitor" in your office, writing down passwords next to your computer is a serious risk
True! But it's even better if the sticky note is an entry in an encrypted database that's protected by a password you actually do take the time to remember.
While I totally agree with you that a good password on a sticky is much better then a bad password. Those rules really don´t really do that much compaired to the inconvience for the user. Really only need 1 rule...
