Its fucking stupid that mods remove comments. I really dont get the point. If people dont want to see it then it will be downvoteded to hell. Is that not the point of reddit.

It is, but without moderation reddit would turn into 4chan, which I don't think many people would like.

That being said, excessive removals is not necessary, but setting a standard on acceptable comments/posts is.

but in 4chan theres no downvoting. thats what makes it different. if people want to see the shitty comments they can still see them. removing the comments is just ridiculous.
