Architecture How would you hang curtains on these windows.

No curtains, it crowds an already small wall. Maybe a stained glass privacy film to highlight the shape of the windows. Veined glass, if you will.

This would look so nice, maybe in a peach or dark brown shade.

I’d go two tone

As long as it matches the carpet.

Add some spider plants to line the window bases, too.

The top semicircles should be a uniform purplish-pink

I love my frosted glass static clings. I didn’t cut them as precisely but i highly recommend them.

A set of beef curtains should cover that quite nicely!

Start at the tip and roll down

Thumb tacks should do it

Edit: not that it matters, but I thought I was in r/homedecoratingCJ lol

Just thick shag carpet at the base.

Maybe a couple of bean bag chairs on the floor at the base.

I mean, why would you. Let the sun shine in. It’s the age of Aquarius.

You start at the tip and work your way down!

To the left

Tbh I’d probably just ignore the top rounded bits and hang rods level with the bit of wall separating them. If it’s a bedroom then hopefully you’re not a light sleeper lmao

Most people only do the square parts and leave the top parts with like a sheer or a paper fan in the spot

Carefully

If you really want curtains, I would leave the tops open and hang whatever you want from below that... I would do 4 curtains. One each on the thinner windows, and tie back to the outsides, and 2 in the middle. You can either tie those to the outside of that window or tie them in the middle.

I would hang from the horizontal "bars" that go across on top, leaving the arches clear for natural light.

Or could also do the 1st part of your idea but with like the kitchen type/half curtains/ valances across/over the arches if you wanted complete darkness/or complete curtain

Mount one set of blinds vertically for each quarter-round.

This, but on purpose.

With curtains

The flat straight part before the arch

I wouldn’t. I hate curtains. I’m a blinds girl myself.

I had windows like this and what I did was hang nice curtains on an internal rod for the regular windows, bought a second set and I cut a shape out of insulation foam (cardboard will work) and I folded and pleated those extra curtains to look kinda like a fan and I pinned them and hot glued them to both sides of the insulation. Then I slot them in and they look nice from inside and out, and I can easily pull them down and set them aside if i want the light.

If you need more information lemme know, I can draw a diagram or something… lol

Why would you want to

1

u/OrdinaryVanilla108 24d ago

I would avoid curtains. The room is beautiful and very eastetic as it is. Go scandinavian!

1

u/KaydeanRavenwood 23d ago

Curtains? Nah, you need DRAPES, honey. Drapes.

1

u/KaydeanRavenwood 23d ago

If you needed to, the windows on the sides would probably need matching curtains? Warm yellow with creme and brown colors for the room?

1

u/KaydeanRavenwood 23d ago

Nope, half drape.

1

u/KaydeanRavenwood 23d ago

No...one big ass condom shaped fuckin' set of drapes with those colors and ivy inlay stitching. Why? Veiny.
