They died. So in Trump’s mind, they‘re „losers“. Meanwhile, he thinks he deserves the Purple Heart for getting his hear scratched by a Secret Service holster.

Don’t forget avoiding the actual Vietnam because of “bone spurs”. Maybe if the Vietcong had invaded a golf course he would have done something.
