Today I visited Comic Hunter, a comic shop located at 9880 Clark St in Montreal's Ahunsic-Cartierville region. This shop has everything a comic fan could possibly dream of, the latest issues, complete runs, single-issues to complete your collection, action figures, toys and more. Marc and Mirella took me on a complete tour, including the ever so secret back section where comics await their grading and pricing. They give gifts for the little ones and if you sign up and visit them during your birthday month, you can also get a gift! Honestly their prices cannot be beat, these things are priced to go! L'anniversaire de ma partenaire approche et je sais qu'elle adore les chevaux mais qu'elle n'a jamais eu l'occasion d'en monter un. Bref, je cherche un endroit «près» de Montréal où on pourrait essayer l’équitation (pour les débutants).

Si c’est à genre 1h30 de char ou moins, ça ferait l’affaire. Je cherche surtout une belle expérience, même si c’est un peu plus loin.

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I know that she loves horses but has never gotten the chance to ride one. Can anyone recommend a place "near" Montreal for a beginner or two to try horseback riding?

Anywhere within an hour and a half's drive would be good! I'm willing to prioritize a nicer experience over a convenient location.

Working, paying bills, making the effort to cook and care for myself, the loneliness. Is this normal, or is this the emotional stuntedness from childhood trauma? or the hint of autism, or the adhd? or all together? I feel like I am not meant to live this way, I've never been emotionally strong. I feel too much. Ever since I was a kid. I felt heartaches in kindergarten, I felt lonely too often, I had anger outbursts. Am I just a very sensible person? or am I just a little bitch that needs to man up?

I am 27 now, and when I was 19 I lived alone for the first time and I tried to 'man up' and I did man up. But I what I did was just pushing all emotions inside somewhere and they came up later. Now when I feel sad I cry, even in the metro when others can see, 200lbs of a 'man'. And it feels healthier, I reach catharsis. Today I called the suicide hotline, godbless them. But I don't think I can live up to the story of other immigrants, where they came with nothing and steadily worked their way up. But If I leave now, I will go back to my country as a failure. I can't stand it

I love film, but my small group of friends is always either busy, too far (most of them live in the west island), or just generally uninterested in catching screenings.

I know I'm kind of doing the opposite of selling myself right now but I'm also pretty socially awkward. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling like I've been lonely for so long that I struggle to build new connections with people. But I'd really love to, I just don't know where to start building that "social muscle".

I often go to the movies alone and feel jealous of these friend groups I see discussing the movie afterwards, so I ask this,

I live on the top floor of a duplex. I have a functional front stairway, but the fire escape is basically non existent. We have a 100 year old coal shed at the back of our house, and there is a staircase inside the shed that leads to the main floor tenants coal shed but that door doesn’t open from the inside, so once in the neighbours shed, you can’t get out. Hence, it’s not really a fire escape 😅 it’s also so rickety— has not been touched for 100 years, wood rotting, nails sticking out everywhere, etc.

I found a fire department non emergency number that I can call and they will have a fire inspector come out to take a look at the safety of my fire escape.

My question is, is it worth reporting? If they find there is non-compliance, what will they do? Can they force my landlord to fix the problem and provide a functional fire escape? I also don’t want to be evicted, is there a chance of this? If you have dealt with a similar issue, please let me know in the comments. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I live on the 7th floor of my building, and every day when the sun rises and sets, the view is absolutely stunning. The colors, the light, the atmosphere—it’s just beautiful. Every time I watch it, I think to myself: “I wish I could share this with others.” So I’ve been thinking about setting up a camera to do a live stream on YouTube, just to let people enjoy the sunrise and sunset with me, wherever they are in the world.
