Absolute dog shit UI

Even their Pluto TV, which has great content, has bad UX. It’s like the people in charge don’t use the apps…

Or people who know how design these platforms are not going to sign up to work at a floundering studio when they can get massive salaries somewhere else.

You don't even need a massive salary. They probably just want to work at a competent company.

That too. But generally, tech types who know they can cash in big are going to gravitate toward the money if they’re being sought after.

There's a million pirated online streaming sites that are community created that far exceed any single one of these companies UIs

It's mainly because there's a lot more money involved in letting the marketing/human behavior groups take the lead in designing tricks to generate more revenue with the actual user experience being an after thought

There's no money in upgrading Pluto's UX from the company they bought it from

App crashes. You press back to go to menu... Previous episode starts.

It really is shit

And content. If not for Taylor Sheridan they’d already be out of business.

Only matter of time when either Apple or Prime picks that up. Apple already has MLS.

And those shows are so full of grandstanding they’re becoming unwatchable.

That too. Sheridan shows are the only thing propping it up.

And the most ads shoved into the ad level. I tried to watch star trek this week. 3-4 different as breaks per episode. 120+ second non skip able, I went to my library and checked out the dvd seasons set instead it was so bad.

I'm trying to watch Discovery right now and I get at least one AI generated voice ad per episode. I fucking hate it.

The fucking Amazon Prime ads are that long now, too. And it’s the same “aunt problem” ad every time. Aunt Joanie can go eat a dick.

Not just that, I would routinely have playable issues where a program would start without me clicking on it. Causing the app to crash because I’m trying to back out of the program that I didn’t click on.

Worse than Hulu?

Not even close

It’s honestly a shame cause they have a halfway decent movie selection and I like that the adds on movies all front load so you can watch the actual movie uninterrupted.

The app feels damn near homemade though lol
