It's the least user friendly streaming service and the recommendations are crap.

A fucking Uwe Boll movie has been in the top 10 for months for God's sake

The app wouldn’t work on our TV. It only worked as a Prime channel which meant we had to pay for two streaming services. Way not worth it.

Same thing happened to us. Could not get the app to download on Xbox. But it worked fine as a Prime channel. Had to cancel and subscribe through Amazon.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. Have this on my Xbox and my TV and all versions of the app suck. Super buggy and laggy and doesn’t work half the time

Oddly enough, when I go to the Paramount+ website on my laptop it works perfectly fine. But every time I've tried to use the app on another device (iPhone, iPad, Xbox) it's just terrible or doesn't work at all.

It makes me sad when my survivor crashes mid challenge

Did the same thing through a Samsung smart TV. Paramoutn+ app was garbage; through Prime, it's okay.

Same here. It wouldn’t cast unless we accessed it through Amazon, or used the smart TV in the basement.

This is a big frustration of mine. My dad is a huge Star Trek fan since he watched TOS on TV. He's not technically adept.

He can't watch Star Trek anymore because you need an app and smart TV and a streaming account and all of this is beyond him. He just wants to turn on the TV, flip to the channel and watch Star Trek. I'd love for him to be able to watch Star Trek again, but all he gets are ancient reruns the BBC occasionally airs.

I wonder how many viewers are being completely locked out of content they're interested in because of how difficult it is to use.

Bootleg DVDs might be up your alley. My mom has several bootleg startrek sets that she fully and truly believes are just "the chinese version" and that's why it was so cheap, but she's been able to enjoy star trek for years with those, I wanna say she found them for like $50 per-complete star trek series. I don't know about blue-rays, my mom would still be using VHS on a CRT if she could, and still only uses a DVD/VCR combo.

He'd probably like to watch one of the new shows, such as Strange New Worlds, but there does not appear to be any legal way for him to watch it. Its not aired on TV or cable so far as I can tell.

I'd really rather not have to resort to any sort of piracy, I thought we'd moved beyond that years ago.

Download the Pluto TV app for free channels including multiple Star Trek channels. They have different channels for each series basically. Set his TV to open the Pluto app when he turns it on.

I've tried but he always runs into problems, can't figure it out, gets frustrated, and things are worse than before.

It needs to be dead simple and basic for people who grew up with TOS, back in the day. This whole thing about apps and accounts just doesn't work. Its a basic, regular, ordinary dumb TV and a remote control.

By far the worst of the streaming apps I’ve used, at least not including issues from when a service first starts or has a one-off live event. On my Xbox it randomly either stops working or jumps back in a show. I was watching Billions and suddenly it will skip back to scene from 20 minutes previous. Really weird viewing experience if you’re half paying attention and aren’t aware of the issue.

Couldn’t get it to work on my PS5. Thankfully it works perfectly on Apple TV.

For months P+ only worked on our Apple TV 4K. I don't remember what we were watching, (Picard?) but if we wanted to watch anything on P+ we had to unhook and hook up the Apple TV to a different TV. It sucked ass.

I even remember starting a service ticket through their website. And every few weeks I would get an email saying, "We've identified and fixed your issue! Please remove and reinstall the app..."

Tried it again and nope. Still there.

They finally did something that made it playable on our Fire TVs but I'm not exaggerating when I say it was 6-8 months of bullshit.

Same here, I can only ever get it to work via Amazon. I subscribed once to P+ and it never worked, unlike Amazon, HBO, Disney, Peacock, Tubi, etc. After a lot of trial and error, the P+ customer service concluded that I should get a new TV if I wanted to use their app. 😵‍💫

But I thought the Amazon Prime app is the worst streaming app. Maybe I think that because I can't think of any reason to pay for Paramount.

This is exactly my thought
