I don't know why but the tagline "Look Up" just gets to me. It hits the nail on the head! It's exactly what I want from a Superman movie.

Because it's fucking optimistic. Look up to your heroes, look up to the future. It's an intrinsically positive message. It's what we need.

"Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us into something something better. And on my soul, I swear that until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice are the reality we all share, I will never stop fighting. Ever."

- Superman vs the Elite movie.

Give me my Big Blue Boy Scout please.

That speech is what made that movie my definitive Superman adaptation. That plus the part about believing in people strongly enough to die for them

That's exactly why the Snyder films didn't resonate with me. His fundamental misunderstanding that Superman is supposed to an eternal optimistic figure.

I also feel like we need a proper Superman And Batman movie, where they're a "Good Cop/Bad Cop" sort of duo the whole time.

Have Batman be the more sarcastic and cynical one, who gives Superman a little bit of shit and treats him like a brother, but they're actually there for each other.

As a person that grew up with the DCAU, all I've wanted in all of these films were scenes like those I remember when I was a kid. There was an episode where a change to the timeline made Batman disappear: when it was fixed, Superman hugged him. When Superman was sent into the distant future and everyone thought he died, only Batman never caved to the grief and continued to believe that he was alive.

Their friendship and their respect for each other despite their completely opposite personalities and viewpoints is what made their association so good and it has never been properly represented in any one of the live action adaptations.

It's a magnicifent double triple entendre.

"Look Up" because Superman is flying high above us, protecting us, saving us.

But since Superman represents hope, having to "Look Up" during these difficult times, feels inspirational.

Genius.

Edit: and duh, "Look up in the sky, it's a bird...it's a plane..."

And also a twist on the classic “Look, up in the sky!”

I know why: It's fookin' brilliant. Simple, nuanced, powerful. It oozes hope.

I still believe a man can fly.....

I think with everything happening right now, people need pure good escapism and I hope this provides it in droves. Folks need that positive supes vibe.

It’s just such a positive fun message which fits so perfectly

One of the greatest taglines of all time, and the movie isn’t even out yet.

I wonder if there's any influence from "Don't look up" and the current state of global politics. They are deliberately going for Supes being the counter to this and an optimistic future.

It’s also a middle finger to the “Don’t Look Up” sentiment from that movie. Needed wholesomeness.

Has a biblical flair to it.
