It's so minor but I'm happy to finally see the goofy Fortress of Solitude robots with their own capes. Perfect campy silver age comic-book stuff that I adore.

I feel the same way about the nod to the og films in the logos/fonts. I loved the Christopher Reeve movies as a kid.

Edit: Too many Reeves...ty

Even the music had a few notes riffed from John Williams' score woven in. Nice touch.

As others have said, John Williams Superman theme is like James Bond's theme, it should be in every movie

I liked Man of Steel ok, but it was missing the three things that I think absolutely should be in any Superman movie:

  1. John Williams theme

  2. Goofy Clark.

  3. Shirt rip.

Don’t think I’ve seen the Iconic Shirt Rip, but we’ve got the theme and Clark seems Goofy so far

I have no doubt we'll see it in this movie. SO looking forward to it!

There is a single Williams shout out when Superman goes after Flash in Justice League.

they’re treating it like the 007 theme, it’s already very iconic, so why not use it again even for a hard reboot?

Explains why I felt a little emotional when the music hit

I mean... that was not subtle. You might as well point out the title 'Superman' is also an homage to the original movies.
