So I really want to grab this controller, but I 100% want to use it. I’ve seen people use official boards and harvest them for these controllers but there’s so many alternatives for the N64 controller nowadays with that SAME stick replacement. I really want to use those extra buttons for stuff.
Is there an adapter anyone thinks would work for this? I feel like I should just be able to plug it in and get some kinda raw inputs from it.
I’m not even sure if the cable IS Ethernet, that’s just what I’m calling it because it looks like it. Thanks!

I received these games (plus a lot of others I’ve posted in r/ps2 and r/gamecube) and was honestly wondering what to do with them. My 2 boys are huge gamers and my 2 year old daughter even loves messing with the Switch.
Is there anything sought after here? Anything worth selling to a collector? Or should I just get a refurbished unit and let the kids enjoy them? They do love all the Mario and Pokémon stuff, so it’s definitely up their alley. I appreciate any input or advice. Thanks!

I’m moving into my first apartment very soon and I really wanted an N64 as it was a big part of my childhood. Found one on yahoo auction for $50 and the rest is history. I’m going to reshell it and I bought a summer cart to play all the games I want! I mainly played Banjo Kazooie and DK64 as a kid. I loved banjo a lot though.

Hello everyone, I've been looking around for answers to this and from what I've found I've haven't really found any convincing answers to this.
In short, is there a risk for a jp console to get fried if I plug an EU console's power supply in? If so, what is the best way to go about safely playing on a Japanese console when in Europe? I've also read that this might also get in the way of the Everdrive's performance?
I'm extremely paranoid about frying my console, any guidance would be greatly appreciated
EDIT: I've done a bit more digging, found this thread and this one too. Turns out google just flat out sucks ass when trying to find an answer to a question nowadays. I'm leaving the thread up but feel free to add any extra info if you think it'll help:)
EDIT 2: Thank you so much for the answers!

I have Goldeneye and Banjo that I’m gonna get signed by the RARE dev team tomorrow. What’s the best way for them to sign it?

The soundtrack, the race tracks - this is one of my ultimate N64 racers.
Got myself a new Sony Trinitron PVM and boy does she sparkle on this cart! My weekend is set!

I bought a refurbished console about a year ago and it worked just fine a couple weeks ago but when I try to start it up now nothing happens. The light comes on but the system makes no noise. The av cable is fine cus it’s brand new now. I’ve cleaned the games. The light on means it has the power it needs right? What else can I do?

This game was absolutely amazing and quickly solidified itself as one of my favourite games of all time. I was smiling and laughing the whole way through.

Bought a copy of Ocarina and tested the save right outside Links house, turned off the console and saved. Beat the Deku Tree and saved successfully again. Made it all the way to the conclusion of meeting Zelda for the first time and didnt play for a week. Booted up the N64 again and now theres no save file.
Tried playing again saving outside Links house and no it doesnt save at all. Any thoughts on why this might be?
Edit: i think it might be a repro, it looks relatively new, my bf bought it on etsy

After 15 years of owning OoT it happened. The battery died and thus did my save files. I had one 100% on it. I'm actually not sad...more like excited to start fresh and 100% it once more. Ofcourse I replaced the battery by now and I noticed I can save again! Here goes...

I was born after the time of the N64 (gasp), and started with smash on the 3ds; and later ultimate on the switch. But I've been getting into vintage tech evidently, and have been playing, and enjoying, smash 64.
So based on that, I want to know, from you people who have played it for far longer, what's your favorite character? Any particular thoughts on it? It's been holding up quite well for me honestly, and I honestly kinda prefer it, as I tend to prefer the original of things, because it's so much purer in it's original intention, and hasn't yet been distilled down into a formula.

Picked up a few guides at an OP Shop today, I love strategy guides and wish they were still a thing. The detail and artwork in these guides are so wonderful! Do you guys buy these guides and use them? Or just for collecting purposes?
