A police officer in Mexico prevents someone's suicide attempt, on a bridge, with no safety equipment.

NACAB

I know there are people out there who are not ready to hear this and I get why they're not, but there truly are cops out there who just want to serve and protect. It's why they got into police work. I know and am related to a bunch of cops and there are a whole lot of bad ones, but painting all cops with the same brush stroke is no more right than doing that for everyone of a certain race, gender, religion, etc.

People with this pseudo-nuanced view fail to realize that cops doing “ bad” is a systemic issue, not an individual one. Which means it is related to the way the whole profession/system works, not how cops are individually.

This means that no matter how much moral integrity a cop has as a person, they will still have to assimilate into a corrupt system. If they don't, they can't and won't be cops. Is that clear?
