And they were all in high school during orange man’s first term and thought “Military sounds pretty good. I’m gonna sign up as soon as I can!”

I’m not sure if it’s better or worse than the select few special people that enlisted during the Vietnam war. Though I guess if you enlisted rather than being drafted you had a bit more choice about where you’d end up. This feels worse.

Probably hard for you to imagine but some people like the idea of serving.

Also 2/3 of the military were volunteers during Vietnam, 1/3 drafted. So not a “select few”
