When the arthritis in my hands was so bad this would have been really useful. Couldn't even button my shirt.

It's better but not gone. I have some permanent damage in my finger joints from it. I can still do most things. I'd need hand surgery to fix it.

It's psoriatic arthritis which is different from the typical osteoarthritis. With the right medication you can stop it but I went a long time without medication due to lack of insurance. Due to that I have some permanent damage in my fingers.

If you still have issues, I highly recommend seeing an Occupational Therapist. The common button hook handle is larger where you can use a gross grasp (whole fist) and is easier on the finger joints
