You might hate it but this is the kind of content this sub was founded on.

Absolutely. Instant gratification, not eye candy.

Yup and you can't explain easily that satisfaction which makes it oddly datisfying

You don't see it but there's a sign that says "Keep Off the Grass" and the shadow is very respectful of rules.

The symmetry and sharp edges of the shadow are really pleasing to look at!

Abundant man hole covers, block paved sections of street going back down to tarmac, red brick, homes close to the pavement but also weirdly closed off from the street, the air of emptiness, a trades van...
My God it's a British new build estate.

That pole is only available in select countries in Europe. It's from Valmont Structures and called a slipper column.

I wonder whether this person noticed this, thought they wanted the picture, then waited for the perfect angle of the sun to capture this. That's commitment.

That is a very polite shadow. Obeying the "stay off the grass" sign. Neat!

So this proves that shadows prevent grass from spreading. Makes total sense since we all know grass needs sunlight to grow.

Make a note of the time and date, that amazing moment won't always be here.

Aha that's because you stood at the right spot to take that picture! Anywhere else it wouldn't perfectly align... /s

I have no idea what sort of life a city planner might have. But I do know that the guy that made this happen walks through the city factory, his coworkers hold out their hands, and he runs, high fiving them all. I believe this happens every day.
