CA has a coast to the west. Last I learned, OR doesn't have a coast to the south... it's CA and NV.

I truly have no idea what you’re talking about. Almost the entirety of the CA coast is to the east of the Oregon coast. I just don’t understand the underlying point you’re trying to make. I thought I did. Now I don’t.

The southern border of OR is not a coast at all, only the western border touches the ocean.

A joke! I get it now. The title made sense to me so your comment was confusing.

Oregon southern border is land consisting of CA and NV. Western border is the Pacific Ocean.

Who said anything about borders?

What would you call the southern part of the Oregon coast? How about the Northern part of the California coast? Because we who live here call it the North coast of California and the southern coast of Oregon. No one said anything about borders.

Because we who live here call it the North coast of California and the southern coast of Oregon.

Hold on, what is that?! Ohhhh, we agree then:

southern coast of Oregon != southern Oregon coast
