Yep. My Trump related fact checking on r/conspiracy got me a life ban to from that sub. Calling BS on BS seemed like I wasn't 'enjoying the content' so I had to get kicked into oblivion.

I especially admire the level of snark and passive aggressive politeness they tend to use. The USA doing the right thing for anyone other than themselves is a concept from another time, they’ll be expanding the American Healthcare model into their defense policy: (conditional) protection for those who pay, and rugged individualism or worse for those who don’t.
Which will inevitably turn into the USA extorting vulnerable nations into unbalanced agreements and I would not be surprised at all to see the USA deliberately undermine those vulnerable nations’ ability to negotiate with their adversaries, like they did to Ukraine, in order to secure those lopsided agreements for their own enrichment.
The USA is now going to be enforcement-for-hire, not entirely dissimilar to your local 81s or Mafia, just at scale. Does international law have the concept of RECO?
Given the US is the ONLY country that’s invoked Article 5 following 9/11 - Wondering how much collectively was spent by foreign nations to “defend” the US?! I assume far greater than the meagre amount afforded to Ukraine thus far, including old equipment that would otherwise have been trashed and cost more?
I hate that man-child with a burning passion. But that’s probably the one thing I agree with him on, NATO’s charter says 3% of GDP and about 5 member countries actually meet that. Outside the US the rest are all former Warsaw pact countries who are in more imminent danger if something happens. But then again I’m a US Army veteran so I’m more hawkish than most liberals are.
To be fair, the US has been asking NATO countries to pay more for a long time now. I read a thing today about how European countries are finally stepping up.
PS. as a Kiwi, I know we've been singled out for the same. It's kinda sad that we have to go back to armies, territorialism, nationalism rather than just trading. Seems like a lose/lose situation
In all seriousness tho other countries should contribute more. It's what gives Trump and his supporters any legitimacy at all. The fact that the world refuses to pay for their own defense.
