See, there is a solution to that; the West Coast, the northeast, and Illinois just join Canada

The US will never willingly give up three of their largest income centers.

California, New York and Illinois is 25% of the GDP alone. Throw in the rest and china, the US and Canada are tied for largest economies in the world.

You're talking Civil War #2 and unless Canada and other international allies are willing to help, it's a problem because at least us here in California do not have the military infrastructure to take on the US army.

I’m not sure Canadians would actually benefit from that, California alone would very nearly have more voters than every Canadian province combined and a bigger economy by a fairly significant margin. If that happened Canadians would be swallowed and underrepresented in their own country, adding on the 12 million from Oregon and Washington and you’d have roughly 51 million people, New England is 15 million, Illinois is 12, that’s 78 million and nearly double Canada’s 41.

It would also make… Canada, the 3rd biggest economy behind China with half the GDP of China and about 40% of the US’s GDP. It would have the 16th biggest population. America would drop from 27 trillion gdp to 21ish, though it would still be the biggest economy
