Throwing out “California leads in homelessness” like it’s a mic drop is just advertising you don’t understand statistics. Ok sure, California has the highest total number, but it also has the largest population. That’s like saying it leads in oxygen use. When you adjust per capita, red states like Texas, Florida, and Tennessee have comparable or rapidly growing rates, especially in urban centers with low housing supply and virtually no tenant protections.

Quoting raw numbers without context doesn’t make you informed, it makes you loud and wrong.
