Same. Here in Massachusetts.

The blue states should secede. On our own or in some kind of partnership with Canada (United States of Canadia?). The red states are an anchor around our neck. We need to cut them loose.

It's not the GDP, it's the massive cultural and political imbalance that taking on California would have for any country.

Let's say Massachusetts joined Canada, it would become the third most populous province and second largest by GDP.

Adding California would double Canada's population, while also adding a state/province whose GDP is much larger than Canada's as a whole. We have enough moaning here from Westerners that Ontario and Quebec decide elections, how will Canadians feel when California decides our elections?

Canada would probably be better served by having New England/Northeastern US being its own country and being a close ally and reliable trade partner.

I think you should let the Canadian people decide by putting it on your next election ballot -- "should we offer to annex California - yay or ney. We would never have to go to Florida ever again."
