Considering how much agriculture and manufacturing actually come out of California, this would have a substantial impact on the rest of the US. The California gdp is as much as in the top 5 gdp's in the world.

I love how the nuttier states are the ones who get most federal funding. Reminds me of Hungary within the EU. By far the most pro Russia, with an authoritarian leader but also one of the biggest beneficiaries of EU funding. While both attacking the US federal gov / EU at any opportunity.
