Considering how much agriculture and manufacturing actually come out of California, this would have a substantial impact on the rest of the US. The California gdp is as much as in the top 5 gdp's in the world.

Reminder that succession will trigger an immediate Arrest due to White Vs. Texas. If the arrest is not made, then it immediately triggers a civil war. The unfortunate part is you have to HOPE the Military within the State flips to help California instead of destroy it. Not trying to ya know be the Debbie downer but a sudden leaving of the Union comes with problems... Now idk about kicking states out of the union that could be an avenue.
